Cook Out — Restaurant in Winston-Salem

If your in a hurry to grab a bite to eat than this is a perfect spot. Their meals are filling and come with choice of two sides and a drink. Today I stopped just to get o e of their delicious shakes. I got the banana and also a cappuccino one. Their shakes are always fresh and think and you taste the pieces of real fruit in them. During July and August they have the watermelon one…….yes you will get seeds in it! In December they have the eggnog shake. All the shakes are exceptional. The food is basic and some can be greasy but it’s cheaper than most places and the meal will fill you up. I got t some cheese curds which are actually a bit like what you get in Wisconsin. We got an order of the Cajun cheese fries which were messy and best eaten with a fork. The seasoning was only on top and therefore not on all the fries. O really for fast food it’s 3 stars but a 4 star for the shakes……and they have like 50 different flavors to choose from. Employers are hit or miss. Some are nice and sometimes you get one with an attitude like they do t want to be there. There are two lanes and are pretty quick, I feel the right outer lane goes faster because most don’t realize that there is a second lane. They do have a walk up wi Dow but nowhere to sit so your food has to be to go. It’s always casual and laid back atmosphere and at night you get a lot of teens and...

Went to the drive through (it is all drive though). Hard to hear the employee at the order spot. Drove up, paid, left. Didn't realize until after they missed some of our order. And the quesadilla was not only burnt, but it looked old as the cheese was solid and the tiny amount of chicken within looked so pitiful that I felt sorry for the chicken which gave its life for it.

Called the cust. service #. Was told to rtn to the same store & they'd fix the order. Returned (w/quesadilla) to drivers side path, same hard-to-understand issue with the ordering machine. They wouldn't let me drive up and communicate directly until I had finished explaining and ordering. They replaced the burnt, old looking quesadilla w/another pitiful quesadilla which also wound up not being eaten. They also included the rest of the missing order to the additional food I ordered for my friends. THEY MESSED UP THE 2ND ORDER TOO. I was tired & thought they wouldn't screw up 2x, so much to my chagrin, I didn't check until after I drove away.

They mixed up what was ordered, food as well as drink-wise. As for the employees, they seemed sullen and not one responded with a smile either time through.

The burgers weren't bad, though they did seem a little small for the price. They are open until after midnight, so good for late...

I have always had good service at Reynolda Road. I usually get a regular cheeseburger and regular plain cheeseburger for my giant dog in back seat. Pay the same price for both but noticed the last 3-4 times the burgers are lot smaller than the buns. When I open the plain burger the burger is looks pitiful sitting there in the middle of this regular bun. I've checked mine as well same size but with lettuce and tomato and pickles they pretty much hide the size of the small burger because the tomato is usually the same size as bun. I'm being serious. I go to Culver's or McDonalds across the street and the burgers may be thinner but at least they are the same size as the bun. I'm going to take a picture along side of my receipt the next time I go and will send corporate a picture. I like the taste of cookouts burger a lot better than the previous competitors mentioned but who wants to eat a regular burger that is...
