Love the burgers here. Decent wait time. They will not answer the phone to take a carry out order....especially if it gets within an hour of closing And they let the phone ring and ring and ring before answering other times. I try to call before my lunch half...hour....so I can run and pick it up but they will not pick up the phone. As many times as I've tried...I've never...in a year...been able to place a lunch carry out order! Lol That's in mid afternoon!!!! Should be a slow time....but they won't answer the phone...so I can't order ahead....and I really need to since I only have half an hour. Once...i called a half hour before closing....couldnt get through...busy signal....when I finally did get through....it was 10 minutes before close and they refused to make me a burger. I mean....answer your phone. Get another line.....knowing you have a large carry out clientele....go with that....and cater to that. I wonder how much business they lose....because they will not pick up the phone??? Just to make sure I could place an order before close...(i get off work close to close...within an hour).....i will drive there....sit outside.....call....and watch them walk away.....from....the ringing phone. Because they won't answer the phone.... I just drive there and go in and order after work....((but I wanted to see for myself..what they do....why they don't answer))) And...when I went in and faced them with it? One time it was...oh we were so busy due to the fair. Okay. All of the other times like 3 pm....they have no excuse...they just refuse to answer the phone. There are waitresses walking around...but they will fiddle around with refilling catsup packets before they'll answer the phone. We're all busy. Pick up the phone. That's awful service. Is there some hotline you have to know about to place a simple carry out order? I wonder....if the owners know or care. I mean how could you be oblivious to that happening on a daily basis. Answer your phone...or stop taking...
Read moreThe Jimmy the Greek Experience (Call In - Pick-Up Edition). On this day I wanted a greek salad. Jimmy the Greek was not far, so I called in and placed an order for their Greek Plater that comes with Gyro and chicken souvlaki on a bed of rice with a Greek salad and a choice of a side. I ordered a salad instead of rice and asked for a double salad. The individual I spoke with was pleasant, and I did not feel rushed while placing my order, and they provided a 10 to 15-minute pick-up time.
Once I arrived, my food was ready, but I guess I walked into something because I heard the individuals at the counter talking about "How they were not going to be checking people's boxes." After paying, I checked my food before leaving. Staff had already let the cat out of the bag by saying what they were not going to do. I glanced, but once home and ready to eat, I noticed I had NO FETA CHEESE on my greek salad! How is this a greek salad without feta??
They seasoned the chicken so well, but the Gyro meat was on the thin side but still tasty. The salad was just a salad to me. Not greek without feta cheese. The tzatziki sauce was good, not too runny or too thick. The pita bread was nice and warm. Overall this would have been a bomb plate if I had feta cheese on my salad!
So would I return Jimmy the Greek? I would return because they have a large selection of food items. If in a large party, everyone can eat from their menu. Nevertheless, next time I order a greek salad, I will be asking if feta comes on it. Although the customer service was good on the telephone, the same energy is necessary on the floor. This establishment is not that big, and ears are not that far apart to talk about customers, anything personal, or anything...
Read moreI arrived around 8:50am. There were about 8 tables with people. I was promptly greeted by a friendly cashier who told me I could sit wherever. I chose a booth. When I sat down, I smelled something that smelled so good but I have no idea what it was.
My waitress came over at 8:54am and took drink order. I got a water with lemon, which came in a plastic cup. The waitress didn’t introduce herself, which is sadly a normal occurrence when I’ve dine in at restaurants lately. Each table had menus on it. They weren’t the cleanest.
After reviewing the menu, and asking for advice, I ordered at 9am. I got the house special, which the waitress said was the most popular. I got 3 scrambled eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, toast, and a pancake. The pancake comes regular but I added strawberry on top. (Note: The blueberries are NOT fresh. They are pie filling. The strawberries are fresh).
My food came at 9:08am. The food was beautifully plated! The bacon was a little chewy; kinda seemed like it wasn’t fresh. I added pepper and salt to my eggs but it wasn’t bad alone. I liked the toast as it was buttery. I enjoyed the pancakes but I wish they were a little softer. I ended up getting full. I didn’t finish my pancakes or the toast lol.
Per my receipt, Vicki was my waitress. The service was good. I got my food pretty quickly too. I must add that you DEFINITELY get your moneys worth! I got all the food I did for only $8.50, which is awesome! I definitely plan on returning and I...
