In previous years, I would have given the experiences we've had at the Annex 5 stars. We've enjoyed the country, summer concert series over the past few years, and have attended almost every show. And as such, we settled into a pattern of trying to get the same handful of seats that offer us our highest enjoyment. However, this years seating arrangment leaves much to be desired. The added row on the floor directly in front of the risers has significantly impacted the foot traffic on the floor, especially with the added divider between the floor seats and the risers. It's created such an area of congestion. What used to be Row A, is now Row B. And now, the new Row A is stuck in the middle of all the foot traffic, and this is where we got stuck this past weekend. We absolutely hated it. People constantly brushing up against us as they're trying to walk past; I was having everyone's clothes and arms or legs brush up against me all night long. Honestly felt like I only saw about 30% of the show undisturbed; all I could view was bellies and butts at eye level. It felt so cramped and claustrophobic. Not a fan at all of this seating change, and now unfortunately, because we bought tix to 3 shows at once, we're stuck with the same misfortune for the remaining 2 concerts in the series. Please change this for future events. And, on a side note, I'm really tired of the beer sales at these events. I realize it's a huge money-maker for the Annex, but something needs to be done to regulate attendee's drinking. Find some way to put a limit on the number of drinks they can purchase or consume, because I am tired of the actions of the drunk folks--getting into arguments with each other and just being overall messy. And please stop selling beer by the glass. I'm stick of beer being spilled all over the arena and all over other patrons. The floor directly in front of us stayed drenched and slick with spilled beer all night long. I don't really care to smell like beer because some careless, drunk dolt can't manage to keep his beer from spilling. These 2 reaons are why we will probably decrease or stop attending similar events...
