The Pancho Villa's Mexican & Seafood Restaurant Experience ( Dine-In Edition). So, on this day, I met a friend for dinner. It had been a while since I dined at Pancho's, but I knew I had a taste for seafood. When reviewing the menu, the Mojarra Frita stood out to me. It is a Deep-fried whole fish cooked in their special garlic sauce and served with rice, beans, and salad. However, I opted to have grilled vegetables instead of the carbs. I also ordered a Jumbo Texas Margarita. I went to the restroom before digging into the delicious chips and salsa. During my visit, the bathroom did appear clean.

Once back at the table, I snacked on chips and salsa until my heart was content and sipped on my drink. Side note: When getting free chips and salsa, sometimes overeating them can ruin your appetite. However, I was ready for my fish. The drink was good and relaxed me from the earlier part of my day. By the way, shout out to ANNA, who was our server. She was so polite and provided such excellent service. When my fish came out, with the head on, it looked at me like who was eating who. My food was so good. I cannot stress that enough. No one can fry fish like Pancho; it was a nice-sized portion. That garlic sauce paired nicely with it. Even typing this review, my mouth is starting to salivate.

Would I return? Yes! I will request Anna again to get that good service, not saying other staff there are not friendly. However, who serves you sometimes sets the tone for the restaurant and your meal. The food and drink were good, and I cannot wait to order the same thing again. First things first I attended this place 1/1/20 and the staff at this restaurant was outstanding. However, my sister and I ordered the “Pollo Suprema” with everything on it. Didn’t have to wait 10 minutes for the food to arrive at the table. The food looked really good until I starting moving the food around on my plate, and noticed what looked like to me was an overcooked ramen noodle. I remove it from my plate to further dissect what it could be. Turns out, it was a rubber band. I immediately get one of the staffs attention and they quickly take the plate away from me and says someone will be with me shortly. The manager, Pedro, finally arrives and he sat down next to me, apologized for it happening, but then said “ it’s not our fault because you know the onions that come in threes and they’re held by a rubber band? Well we cut a lot of them and we rake them into a bin. And he shrugged his shoulders. He asked if I wanted them to remake it and I declined. I felt some type of way because as a customer that is spending money at this establishment I didn’t feel like he was too concerned about my safety and well-being. I was already frustrated and wanted him to see my point in where I was coming from, so I asked him to return to the table. I then explained that I felt like he didn’t care and also tried explain that something far more worse could’ve happened if I attempted to eat it. In the middle of talking he cut me off and told me I didn’t have to pay my bill and it was taking care of. I’ve never had an issue with this place before this incident but I will not...

The food and service is OK here at best, but the manager lacks in people skills and is at the least very rude. I visited this restaurant on 03/11/19 around 8 pm. while eating chips ans salsa we found a 12 inch or longer hair in the salsa bottle. The managers response was to bring over a short haired worker saying he makes the salsa and look how short his hair is so it could not have come from the restaurant. So i asked the manager if he thought I brought it in my pocket and he just raised his hands and shook his head yes.. The manager did not take ownership of the problem and just walked away without a sorry or a comp offer or anything. So if I DID NOT BRING IT AND A SHORT HAIRED GUY MADE IT WHERE DID IT COME FROM. My thoughts on this is like what they do any many Mexican restaurants. The salsa you leave on the table gets poured back in the big bottle they serve to each customer. Having family that works in a Mexican restaurant telling me this is common practice at this type of restaurant. The family member who warned me about this, said we should never go back there because something much worse could happen to our food.
