I Was Told About This Wine Bar And That I Should Visit So I Did The Very Next Week Which Was Saturday, 9.7.24.. And I Wish I Never Did.. Upon Planning This Wone Bar As My Biweekly Date Night.. We Walk In And Wasn't Even Greeted By The Person On Shift This Particular Day/Shift.. Which We Came To Know As Bree. Ad We Stood At The Front Entrance Bree Continue To Speak With The Two Patrons Already Seated At The Bar And Didn't Feel Like We Were Worthy Enough To Be Spoken To. So We Took It Upon Ourselves To Seat Ourselves At The Only Table That Didn't Already Have Dirty/Used Wine Glasses And Or Water Glasses Already On The Tables. After Seating Ourselves And Grabbing The Menu's To See What We Wanted She (Bree) Still Never Came Over To Greet Us As We Spent Upwards Of Almost 3 Mins Scanning The Menu. After This Time Frame We Were Then Given Water And The Initial Greeting At That Point As Bree Inquired What We'd Like.. We Asked A Few Questions And Place An Order At The Same Time 2 Other Women Walked In And Bree Instantly Greeted Them Upon Entering The Establishment When She Was Behind The Bar Preparing Our Order. Which Instantly Annoyed Me. Bree Then Brings My Dates Order Which Was Not A Full Glass Of The Frozay He Ordered That Really Puzzled Us.. But Oh Well ... She Lves To Get My 1st Of Of The 3 Wines Of The Sweet Italian Wines For Tasting. As This Is Happening (5) Young Ladies Walk In And Again Bree Instantly Greet These Patrons As Well And Go Over To Ask What They Needed And After They Advised What They Wanted She Asked If They Were All Over 25 And And Preceeded To Assist Them. So Needles To Say Bree Was Very Rude, Inattentive And And I Feel Borderline Racist/Prejudice. I Wanted To Order More Items But I Refuse To Support And Spend My Money Where I'm Treated Less Than, Not To Mention That Bree Didn't Even Put Effort Into Cleaning The Used Glasses, As We Watched Her Swish Glasses In One Tub, Dip It In Another Tub And Sit Them On The Drying Rack, Which Really Sealed The Deal For Me Seeming Covid And Germs Still Exists And This Is The Level Of Clean She's Practicing At This Point. Buuuuttt.. There Was A Guy Named Steve That Came Over To Speak With Us And To See How Our Experience Was And I Didn't Tell Him About The Treatment From Bree Because I Wasn't Going To Return So Why Bother. I Then Reached Out To The Person That Advised Me To Visit This Establishment And Told Her What Was Happening, Literally As I Was Sitting There And She Instantly Asked Is It The Lady With The Black Hair.. I Said Yes!.. I Then Asked Why Would You Tell Me To Visit This Establishment If U Got Treated This Way As Well. She Stated The Owner Is (Which Is Not Bree) Really Nice When They Revisited Which Is Why She Advised I Visit There Seeming I Frequent Wine Bars Monthly .. But Sorry To Say..Bree Ruined It For Me And I Won't Return There.. I'll Find Somewhere Else To Spend My Money Like Back In Orlando Where I Normally Go And Our Glasses Are Filled And The Music Caters To All People As Well As The We're Not Treated Less Than. And The Customer Service Is Stellar And Warrants Tips That Match The Service Being Provided!.. * I Would Rate This Place A Negative 3 * ...All Thanks To Bree.. She Clearly Needs A One On One With Management On How To Treat Ppl And Work The Room With Everyone, Not Just Select Ppl. #Dissapointed #WastedMoney...
Read moreMy friend recently moved to downtown Winter Haven so we were checking out places in the area and we decided to stop by. We were the only two people in the entire place on a Thursday night. Totally fine as it was a quiet evening so we thought we’d check out the menu and order a white wine flight. The bartender told us we weren’t allowed to share the flight and we would each have to order one. She also told us she would have to pick our wines and we couldn’t select our own, which is the opposite of what it says on the menu. Since we weren’t trying to spend over $70 on wine flights we opted for a glass each. My friend ordered a dry rosé and I ordered the rosé Prosecco and was given a glass of regular Prosecco. At first I thought maybe it was the lighting or a very pale rosé, but my friend said I’m pretty sure you got the wrong wine and to ask the bartender about it. She said the menu had changed recently and there used to be a regular Prosecco of the same brand on the menu and said “oh did you want the rosé instead” even though the regular Prosecco wasn’t even on the menu. So she took my full glass of wine and dumped it in the sink and then took the same glass and filled it with the rosé Prosecco, but only gave me a half pour and put it back down in front of me. I was very put off by the fact that she used the same glass so I could see exactly where the first one was filled, and it was obvious that she only gave me a half pour even though I didn’t drink any of the first one at all because it wasn’t what I ordered. She just blamed the menu change but I felt like she was annoyed with me even though we were like I said, literally the only two people in the entire establishment. I’m not sure how you can mess up an order when you only have two people to wait on, but it’s enough to make us never return here because the staff obviously knows nothing...
Read moreOne of the best things to happen to our town. So many positives to highlight in a review. The ownership is hands-on and active. Very intelligently formed and established. The staff are great. Every one of them. They are always ready to tell you about a wine opportunity or to find the perfect fit for your taste. The food is always spot on. Never missed once in more than a year. Small crafted offerings that just the right fare for the space and offerings that are connected with their sister store Agape Agora for a bigger or different bite. The atmosphere is great. There's always a great event planned. Either unique or reoccurring. The space is always being evaluated for efficiency and vibe.
Overall this place is the whole package. You'll run into...
