Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Winter Haven

First of all the two star rating is not really for the taste of the food because the taste of the food was good the two star rating was for the service, for the missing item and for the pricey food. So I ended up paying $25 for two people that is ridiculous because I pay that much for four people at Chick-fil-A a three-piece chicken tender combo cost $10.99 here the chicken nuggets kids meal combo was $4.99 and a medium lemonade was $3.49 and a regular fries which by the way I did not know and I found out the hard way that their regular fries are that little paper bag filled with a little bit of fries for $3.49 all of that plus tax came up to $24 and some change which was ridiculous because when you looked inside of the bag it was barely any food and I had to literally park the car and go inside because I was missing my expensive regular fries which they're so small I can understand how the people didn't see that it was missing. What I didn't like about the service was that when you're placing your order it feels like you're being rushed but I think what they forget to consider is that the menu keeps moving while you're trying to place your order so you have to kind of wait for the kids menu to pop right back up so you can see what you want for your child. One of the reasons that I was irritated when I saw the small amount of fries that are given to you for the $3.49 was because you pay $3.29 for a large fry at McDonald's and you pay a little less than $3 at Chick-fil-A for large waffle fries there is nothing special about the season fries at Popeyes to be charging so damn much for so little bit it's literally robbing you at its best and what upset me was that later in the day I went on the Popeye's website and I discovered that I could have purchased a 14 piece tender family meal with two large fries and five biscuits for $24.99 that is more food than what I received for the same price in person that was upsetting so of course I signed up for the rewards because I might as well be earning Rewards and place to order online and get the online specials opposed to placing the order in person being rushed and missing food. And lastly would it really kill them to smile and tell you to have a great day the employees there literally appear to be having a bad day everyday the...

Do not go here. I ordered an all white 3 piece meal and I got a wing, a thigh, and a leg. I did an in store order because their drive thru was backed up around the building. Inside the store they were standing around talking. It took them 30 minutes to fill my order which should have taken 5 minutes at the most. I called customer service because I knew if I called the store they would have gaslit it back to my fault for their mistake. Customer service said they would have the store call me and issue me a refund. I waited a week and a half and no call. I called customer service again, this time they offered me a $20 coupon even after I said that I won’t be going back to Popeyes ever again and I want my refund. They said they would contact the store again. I still didn’t hear from the store and I called again to be told they would give me a $20 coupon plus 500 points which again I said I don’t plan on going back to Popeyes and I want my money back. I’m told now it is going to a review board and most likely all they will do is the coupon and the points which makes no sense whatsoever. This store and their corporate office are horrible. They should follow through with the stores and find out why they don’t call customers for refunds. I made my order on August 31 and it is September 17th. I have been a loyal customer for years and they pretty much know me by name. They always go above treating my orders as the best sometimes they will add extra tenders to my order when I order a 3 piece combo and sometimes get handed a larger cup size than what I ordered but I'll request the small cup. However like I also get served tenders that were to cooled off as well. One night when they locked the door early. I got service with a carry out dinner compliments from the staff that know me, even though the cook could take my card inside he said I'll take care of you. For a fast food restaurant for all that do for me on all my visits, I can't give them below 5 stars. There are times when you have to wait for cooking times but for everyone of them this is well worth the wait because you get the hottest and freshest food possible. The chicken can be really hot to the touch out of the fryer but this still better than chicken that sat cold after 20 minutes.
