Read moreThis place is a gem! They used to be next to the Aldi on Aloma but they moved and changed their name to “La Revancha”. As a Cuban, i will say this place gets their pastries and food right.
The breakfast sandwich is really good, everything is fresh and made to order. Serving it with Cuban toast is the way to go and it’s delicious.
The Tostada is yummy, i always ask for extra butter and it’s even better than Sedano’s tostada. The bread is super fresh and isn’t hard at all. The drinks are great and never fail. The Caramel Frappe is super good!
The service, for the most part, is fine. The guy that takes the order is nice, although even tho i go there often, it seems like he never recognizes me. He doesn’t have an attitude or anything but i feel like if someone comes often, maybe you should greet them with some type of familiarity.
Soo my only other issue with this place is the prices… It’s a bit too expensive for a Cuban place ($35 for stuff in photo). If you really wanted to, you could go to Sedanos and get this stuff half the price! It’s a bit steep for me. However, the place, itself, is great. There’s always Spanish music playing and it’s fun to dance a bit while eating!
Overall, a great Cuban place that...
Read moreOn vacation and got food poisoning. Symptoms fit listeria, do not eat here if you want to enjoy your vacation. Hoping it doesn’t kill me, so fingers crossed. Health inspectors need to evaluate this place.
Edit: I see the business is trying to save face through there response, but I assure you it was here that I got the food poisoning. First, I only ate at well rated and high end restaurants the day before (the glass knife and Bulla). Second, I ate here in the morning and didn’t eat anything else until the poisoning hit later that night when we sat down for a business dinner. I kept saying throughout the day that the food wasn’t sitting right with me almost immediately after the meal but figured it was indigestion. When I went to take a bite of the appetizer at dinner, I realized that the smell of any food made me nauseous. I then proceeded to not eat anything and make my way to the restroom where I proceeded to projectile out of both ends in a violent and painful manner (the first of many). So, while I understand wanting to save face, this is a highly disappointing response from a business that made someone sick. DO NOT...
