Keke's Breakfast Cafe — Restaurant in Winter Springs

I would give this location negative stars if that were an option. I went to this location on Saturday 09/19 with my husband and we received less than ideal service. We ordered two meals, a French toast meal and a pancake meal. The menu was very misleading and we ordered what was listed, pancakes/French toast, hashbrowns, bacon, eggs, and bread. Not knowing these items were an up charge because the server didn’t feel the need to tell us this. I spoke to the server and had her take off the items that were an up charge because we weren’t going to eat them anyway because it’s simply too much food. The manager Alex came to our table and proceeded to be loud and aggressive towards me, and proceeded to tell me why we were wrong. At this point we paid our bill and left. This is not good customer service, and next time perhaps schooling your servers about alerting patrons when something is an up charge is a must, and I assure you this avoids any conflict for both parties. Instead of waiting until the customers notices this was an up charge when questioning why their bill was $10 higher than expected. This would be a better alternative than trying to school a paying customer and causing a scene. Very unprofessional Alex. I'm not sure what to say here. I was taken here by friends whilst visiting from out of town, and my friends rave about this place and say it's wonderful. But, alas, my experience was not so good. After seating us and bringing us drinks it took them 12 minutes to return to take our order. I asked for a grilled ham and cheese sandwich on white toast, and silver dollar pancakes as a side. It then took them 22 minutes to bring me a cold ham and cheese sandwich.... and cold pancakes. I was too hungry, and we were running too late, to have them redo or fix the order, so I just ate the food and left. I hear that they normally do a much better job, but my visit was a disappointment, and even my friends, who were regulars, were surprised at the length of time it took to get food there.

Speaking more generally, this restaurant is similar to "Coco's" or "Carrow's" of national franchise fame - the facility was very clean, the atmosphere muted and relaxed, and the menu was impressive. But at least on my visit they lacked in execution, and the overall experience was a...

When I arrived to Keke I was met by an extremely professional and polite hostess. She even walked me over to my table where my wife was. We ordered and as usual breakfast was amazing. Prior to breakfast I had to remove my retainers and instead of placing them in my pocket I decided it would be a great idea to place it in a napkin on my side. My wife and I then paid our bill and left but of course I left the retainers which was thrown away when they cleaned the table. In a panic I called the location and got the same hostess that without delay ran to the back and dug threw the garbage and located my retainers that I have to say is beyond the call of customer service I truly want to say thank you to the keke staff member at winter springs Florida you are truly awesome.
