I went with Cameron who did the previous review. It was my first time back in about a year and I was surprised at how bad the quality of food got. I ordered a lunch sushi with two different rolls and they came out looking fine. The taste was nonexistent. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and shrimp tempura roll. When I asked the server if there was something that could be done or if I could just get a different meal instead, she said no to replacing my order and offered to give me eel sauce and spicy mayo on the side to give it some kick. I've tried most sushi places around Orlando already, but this was probably the worse in terms of taste and service. Spicy tuna should at least have a bit of the spicy or some sort of tuna flavoring, but I was just paying money to eat textured food. I gave it a try with the sauce the waitress brought, but nothing changed except now I was eating spicy mayo with rice and tuna bits. I know that sushi isn't meant to be eaten coated with sauce. It should have it's own distinct taste. Even the rice didn't taste any different than rice I make at home. The waitress went so far as to ask me if I've ever eaten sushi before. I had about 5 of the 16 pieces before it just sat there on my plate while watching my companion eat his bento box for the next 20minutes. I was completely dissatisfied with my meal and honestly the waitress and the cook didn't seem to care (we sat next to the sushi bar area, I could watch them talk about the situation). There was no real sincere apology or efforts to make amends. Each "oh yes sorry" lasted .5 seconds before she walked away to return 5 minutes later. I didn't want a free meal, I just wanted something worth paying for. I don't want to be patronized asking if I've ever eaten sushi before/asking if they can do something and turn around to tell me they basically can't, or be told that tempura tastes like nothing. I've eaten enough tempura to know that it does have a taste and even shrimp cooked by itself has a taste. I wish this place cared enough to even try to convince me that this was just a fluke. My family has owned a small restaurant for 15 years. I can understand completely the whole family business idea and working hard with a smaller budget, but this was just hardly working. I wouldn't have minded if I had to pay extra for a different meal all together. The fact is, I asked if I could have a pork katsu and was flat out refused. If the owners really cared, maybe they should have considered stepping out to explain their situation. Honestly, I was really upset and uncomfortable about the whole thing. Overall, I paid 12 bucks for a lesson learned. I won't be coming back, and I think that was the best part...

With traveling as often I have in the past weeks, it's no wonder I stumbled upon this lil' gem here yesterday, a day after coming back from my out-of-state travels. After spending the morning at the hair salon I was feeling mighty hungry by the time my hair was almost done. So, I looked around on Google to find a vegan restaurant and didn't find anything right away that would've satisfied my craving for comfort food. I've been to Ethos and other vegan restaurants around the Orlando area and they're ok but my weakness is for Asian food, especially Japanese. I think it was Happy Cow that listed Kikos Japanese, since they have some vegan options on their website, so I go onto Kiko's website and was quite impressed with how many options they have for vegan. After leaving my hair dresser I went to my friends' place to pick him up so that he could endugle in what I knew would be an epic dining experience. Once we got to the restaurant there was no one in there but it didn't deter me, like it did my friend, at first. He was concerned that because no one was in there, except for the people that worked there and us, that it was maybe a sign that the food wasn't any good but I assured him that it was most likely because of the time we had gone in there. Going back to walking in, the young lady who greeted us was warm and friendly, and seated us right away. As soon as we knew what we wanted to eat she took our order. I ordered the seaweed salad, the special/veggie wonton soup, steamed edamame and the crunchy role. I am really impressed with how extensive their menu is, especially their vegan sushi roll options. I've only been to one other restaurant that served vegan sushi rolls and it was nothing like how the Asians prepare theirs. Just the vegan food in general. Big difference in taste with vegan American and vegan Asian but that's just my opinion because I love Asian food. I'll go for vegan Asian over American any day.
When the food came we dived right in and not surprisingly, it was love at first bite. You could tell that there was a lot of love and creativity put into what they made. It would have been nice if they had Braggs Amino to put into the soup only because I love putting it into Asian soups. I'm sure if they started supplying it at the restaurant the other vegans/vegetarians that come in there would appreciate it just as much. The sushi rolls were out...
Read moreI have been trying to find a good Shrimp tempura around Orlando. There wasn't one; so I thought...
Till now I found one and this is the place to go everybody if you are seeking good food, and good service. I absolutely love this plate I ordered. It was the Perfect flavor it seemed for what I was looking for, need I say more.
I just wish it had a few more shrimp in this menu pick; but I ordered the lunch, so it might be the reason it had less shrimp.
I was in a hurry, and I found this place by accident. You have got the eat here if you like Shrimp tempura! The sushi was a bit light on the rice, however it had a fresh, wholesome flavor.
The crab dumplings you see on the top right was a delightful treat I have to say. I was not expecting to get sushi and dumplings...
The vegetables that come with it was fried in a light batter Made my taste buds sing. I love vegetables as well
I also had a side of white rice, salad, and soup that come with this meal. I didn't have time to get pictures of that. The rice was a bit sticky, it could have been better. Perhaps, I come late, and got the bottom of the steam bowl... idk.. I hope they work on the side rice.
Asian Restaurant should always serve a mint, perfectly steamed rice. I didn't get that.
Anyways I had to eat on the go I'm in a hurry now so I can't put too much
Vegetarians a vegan : I don't know what they're missing out on not having shrimp :p , however This restaurant definitely caters to your type.
I'm took voice typing. This shrimp is amazing
Enjoyed it Tremendously Orlando has the worst Restaurants in the world in my opinion. When it comes to American and Asian traditional food you're gonna have Trouble finding it.
I am a foodie for sure. However I am very very very picky. I like American food, I like Asian food, I like Italian food,I like grilled and barbecue. I am not a fan of Latino food at all. It is on the lowest on my totem Pole of my food I score . Too many Latin Restaurants for my liking! Many ppl like Latin, but my opinion of it, is: it is a cheap food, too high of price. It dull, boring, and i.just don't like it.
I love ...
