Subway — Restaurant in Winthrop Harbor

Terrible location. I usually go to one of the other 2 locations closer to my work but stopped here and ordered the same salad I always get. Got half the bowl ( literally 5 leaves of spinach lol and I don't get any lettuce) and a tea spoon of steak. The lady behind the counter ( owner?) was specifically instructing the new employee to put as little as possible right in front of me. I ended up with half the salad for the same price as other locations charge for a full one. Not coming back and don't recommend this stingy place. I will no longer be coming to this location that is only 4 blocks from my home. They absolutely refused to honor any subway coupons whatsoever. The employee said it was out of his control and his manager told him to never accept any coupons. The toppings were very scarce. I think I had more bread than ingredients. I couldn't get mad at the young kid making my sandwich because I think he was only doing what he was told to do by his boss and it was not his fault. I think that this franchise location is a bad blemish on the name of subway. Subway themselves might want to look into...

I went in there tonight and asked for ham and cheese. He put six slices of ham for footling. I could make better sandwich at home and actually taste my meat for what I paid for on 3 sandwiches. He was in just a rush to leave then worrying bout him still have 20 mins to close.. If your workers are that worried bout leaving maybe invest in new job!
