Bellino's Trattoria — Restaurant in Winthrop

My friend and I went here for the first time last night. I got the chicken francese but instead of the veg risotto I asked for the creamy risotto and it did not disappoint! Probably the best creamy risotto I’ve ever had. The chicken was cooked as expected and the lemon caper sauce was very tasty. My friend got the chicken Marsala with angel hair and said it was very good. For dessert, I got a pistachio martini and the pistachio ricotta cake. My friend got the lemon cake. My martini was tasty but just ok. I did ask for the dirty ice on the side but never got it and I suspect it might be because I didn’t get a full drink served to me. It was only filled 3/4 of the way. For a 14 dollar drink, please fill my glass. Neither cake was good. My pistachio cake had no flavor as there was no hint of pistachio or any ricotta. My friend said her lemon cake tasted odd, nothing like lemon. So overall, food was very good, atmosphere was nice especially if you sit in the upper level to view the water and planes but I would definitely skip dessert next time. My family met for Brunch at Bellino's in Winthrop, MA, on Sunday, March 3rd 2024, during out Quarterly family visits, because we All live in different parts of the Globe, and one of our members, Lost our Diamond Ring, which has been a Family Heirloom for Over 37 years❣️ And once my AUNT realized the loss, we Contacted the Restaurant and left over 4 messages. Our calls were Never Returned!! 3 days later, we finally called and a Woman named Julie answered the phone, said she was a Manager, then once she Heard about our Loss, she then Proceeded to assure me that All of her staff were Honest and that she would check with them and even said she would check the floors herself and get back to us!!! Today is Sunday, March 10th 2024, and Our Family have Not heard from Manager Julie, nor any other Manager from this Bellino's Restaurant in Winthrop, MA. First impressions, very positive. The build out and refurbishment of this seaside Italian restaurant was clever, modern, and romantic and I especially love the bar area with bar seating and high tops for casual dining. Menu is quite large, featuring many authentic Italian-American classics, whereas the wine menu is tightly curated with modestly priced wines from different countries. Cocktails are expertly made, largely sugar-forward from the early 90s, but presentation is beautiful. We opted for just one thing for our first visit, a pizza. Because up until now Winthrop hasn't really had any authentic pizza. Now it does. This is truly excellent, authentic pizza with a thin charred crust and vibrant, intense, and above all, fresh toppings.
