Dining at this Italian restaurant was like being welcomed into a warm family kitchen, filled with love, comfort, and the irresistible aroma of home-cooked meals. From the moment I walked through the doors, the cozy atmosphere, rustic décor, and attentive staff created an inviting environment that immediately made me feel at home.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Nonna Soup, a dish that perfectly captured the heart and soul of traditional Italian cooking. Served piping hot, the soup was rich, hearty, and layered with flavors that spoke of slow cooking and generations of culinary wisdom. Each spoonful was a comforting blend of tender vegetables, perfectly seasoned broth, and delicate pasta pieces that added substance and texture. What impressed me most was how balanced the soup was—savory, wholesome, and nourishing, without being heavy. It truly felt like something a loving grandmother would prepare with care, hence the name Nonna Soup.
Alongside the soup, I enjoyed freshly baked bread that was warm, crusty on the outside, and soft on the inside, perfect for dipping and soaking up the flavorful broth. This simple yet thoughtful pairing elevated the experience and made the dish even more satisfying.
The service throughout the meal was exceptional. The staff were friendly, attentive, and passionate about the food, offering recommendations with genuine enthusiasm. They made sure everything was perfect, from the wine pairing to the timing of each course.
What makes this restaurant stand out is not just the food but the feeling it creates. It’s more than a meal—it’s an experience that blends tradition, flavor, and hospitality into something memorable. The Nonna Soup alone is worth coming back for, but with such a thoughtfully crafted menu, I know every dish will tell its own...

Excellent bread is brought to your table, but beware, it's accompanied by what looks and tastes like palm oil, not olive oil. So use the butter.
Wonderful salads and excellent house-made vinaigrette dressing. But my Caprese consisted of pale flavorless tomato slices accompanied by small bits of fresh mozzarella and just a pinch of finely-chopped basil leaves, quite disappointing. They need to have some good tomatoes on hand and some thick-sliced fresh mozzarella in case anyone orders the Caprese, or else just tell me it's unavailable.
The Chicken Piccata is the best I've had anywhere and the other pasta dishes are delicious as well. I've been disappointed by various "specials" which are pricey and often adventurous, not in a good way. But if you stick with the regular menu, you will have a nice meal.
D'Parma used to have lines out the door when it was a BYO place, people would come from miles around. I wonder if it made economic sense to begin serving liquor. We were going to order a bottle of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay ($13 at the liquor store) for the table but it was $40, which just felt wrong. A moderate-price restaurant should offer moderate markups on a bottle of wine.
I hope they get it right. If they crunch the numbers and go back to BYO, I for one would be thrilled. If they provide pure olive oil with their excellent bread, that would be a nice...
Read moreIt is my second time in the restaurant, the first time I did not have very good service, the waitress on that occasion was not charismatic or concerned about my food, but this time it was a little better except when I arrived when nobody received me, I had to find my own table until the waitress arrived. Next I am going to make my evaluation using a scale of 1 to 10 where 1 is terrible and 10 is excellent. Attention 8 Cleaning of the place 7 Food quality 9 Although the attention was very good, it bothered me a bit that they did not receive me when I entered, regarding the cleanliness of the place I saw a little carefree, that is why I only give them a 7 and as for the food I could not reach 10 since despite that the food I ordered (ravioli and steak rare) was very good, they offered me a salad to start with that was very good but you could tell the lettuce was very old and rusty the dressing tasted very good.
I am Andrés, a world traveler trying new foods, DPARMA I will be back for my third experience.
DParma restaurant located in Winthrop has a very rustic setting, very Italian-style wooden tables, its roof has a kind of bars simulating a grape tree, they also have an outdoor terrace that looks very striking for the summer season, its exterior It is not very attractive but inside the place everything is very cozy, Italian music in the background that makes you think that you are...
