Insanely expensive for the quality of the food, the country fried steak was good, and the hasbrowns were half cooked, browned on the outside is all, my mother and fathers “big breakfast” which at one time was nearly $9.99 in 2011 at the old(better) prestonsburg Ky location, has now doubled in price, well over double! $24 dollars a plate for each of them, and the waffles are half the size they used to be, and not as good.
The cost of my meal was $15+$5 for the cheese sticks… the cheese sticks are still like what they used to be in the old Truck stop huddle house.. aka the huddle house that wasn’t for rich people, for the working man/woman on the go.
The floor was flooded with water, and flies were swarming, the seats were wobblier than a one legged man serving food on skates. I could just keep going on and on, and many upper middle class or rich folk will be angry, but it’s a fact, the old Huddle House is dead and gone. The smoking area (my fathers a smoker) is no longer around, many prudes may find that as a Plus, but I don’t, it took away that old truck stop atmosphere, the waitresses have the personality of a Arch tater, just smiled when you tried to make conversation and talk with them, definitely not the old ladies of yesteryear who’d talk to you like you was their family.
Pros: Mozzarella sticks
Cons: Everything else including price
R.I.P....
Read moreThe person taking the order was really nice and tried to fix everything, but the cook was pissed that my mother had a pepper allergy. He was still cooking everything around the pepper after we told him and the other staff had told him not to bc she would literally die. But when the staff told him he had to remake it because of the allergy he looked at us and rolled his eyes. If she would have tried to eat the food he was making it would have killed her on spot yet he wanted to roll his eyes and then when we told the server that she couldn't eat it and we would like to pay for our drinks and leave she was really nice told us the drinks was on the house bc of the mess up with the cook and she apologize for him trying to kill my mother. If the owner doesn't want a lawsuit against them I would fire that cook ASAP. They wasn't busy at all and he still couldn't do his job right after being told multiple times. This happened (Friday, November 15,...
Read moreWhere to start……first off, it was very cold in the dining area and as a result, the air conditioning vent above our table was dripping water directly onto the table. We asked for napkins to catch the water. Next, I ordered a BLT with tater tots ($11.49). I noticed there was no lettuce (since it WAS suppose to be a BLT) and was advised by the waitress that they were out, something she failed to tell me when I ordered the sandwich. Then, I noticed that I also didn’t get any Mayo. My husband had to go to the counter to ask for that since the waitress didn’t come back. Last, but certainly not least, they had a radio directly above the griddle with heavy metal music blasting extremely loud the entire time, definitely not a relaxing way to have a Sunday breakfast. Also, our waitress never came back to refill our coffee or to ask if we needed anything. This was just an all around bad experience, we...
