Dora Taqueria - Woburn — Restaurant in Woburn

I was so excited to see that Woburn got a second Mexican spot in town! I was super bummed by our first go tonight though. We placed an order via Grubhub, and when we arrived it was obvious they were flustered. They forgot the chips, but luckily I realized and went back in before I drove off! We ordered the chips, salsa and guacamole, for entrees chicken and shrimp flautas. Unfortunately these flautas only contained cheese and their respective meats, falling short of our high expectations for veggies and flavor. The corn was wrapped in foil, so it lost all its seasoning and flavor during transport :( The savior of the meal was the crispy, hot and fresh chips accompanied by delicious guac! Since this is a new business, I would be willing to give them a second chance once they have some time to settle in to their new...

Save your money and go to any other Mexican restaurant. Nothing had any flavor or spice, very boring, and everything was dry. Way to expensive for poor food, small portions, and wouldn't even classify it has Mexican at all. We ordered the Quesadilla, chimichanga, street corn, and birra tacos. The only decent item was the birra tacos and that's only because it's served with consome sauce, saving the dry meat inside the taco. But even the sauce had no flavor. Everything else was dry and boring. The "side" of rice and beans for the chimichanga was about one single tablespoon. Even the street corn was poor. Had better street corn at chilli's, and that's saying something.

Let me also add that I did not go during a rush, or else I may have understood...

Got the chorizo tacos on the corn tortillas with chips and guacamole. The taco was delicious, you have to go with the corn tortilla, it was very flavorful. The chorizo was delicious, well spiced and well cooked. The toppings were fresh. I could've ate 5 of them.

The location itself is also great, right in Woburn Center, easy to walk to. Easily the best Mexican in Woburn. Compared to some of the other Mexican in nearby towns it definitely is a strong contender, Tenoch in Medford is still my #1 but from what I've had at Dora so far, its as good as Anna's and right...
