Went for a late dinner and drinks with a good friend on a Thursday night. First impression of the atmosphere was that it was lively and had a very sports bar feel. They have TVs mounted throughout the inside and at the bar at the patio space outside. We ate outside and it was pretty nice. The tiki torches on the fencing was a nice touch, but I think if they want to encourage more business outside, maybe invest in outdoor heaters? The food was really delicious, they have a skewer section in the menu consisting of seafood, meat, and poultry options. We got the sirloin, shrimp, and garlic chicken, they were all well spiced and cooked. We also got the sweet potato fries (probably the best I've ever tried) and I got a cobb salad with honey mustard dressing and that was also one of the best cobb salads I've had dining out. The drinks were awesome, the bartender improvised and made me a tiramisu martini and it was perfect! Then we each had a blueberry vodka lemonade and an expresso martini, both also tasted great. Service was pretty good. It must've been tough to run inside and outside because we waited a little bit for certain things, but the waitress was really nice and friendly. All orders are taken with a handheld electronic device, so there's little to no lag time with communication with the kitchen and processing the bill. Overall, a nice experience and a place I'd recommend for a casual night out with friends...
Read moreThe environment is trendy feeling and the outdoor patio is a nice addition for sunny days, with large front windows that open onto the street for summer.
Parking can always be hit or miss in this area, depending on the day and time. We were able to find a nearby street spot, but there is a small lot across the way.
We ordered the nachos to start. We did ask for them pretty plain (no jalapenos, olives or pico). However, they were supposed to come with an avocado drizzle and we asked for a side of sour cream.
I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was pretty standard. Blue cheese crumbles would have been a nice addition. The other adult ordered the cowboy burger and was disappointed. He gave it a 4/10. There was very little bbq sauce and he said the meat was a weird consistency and flavor and didn't smell good. My son had the kid's burger and had similar feedback about the texture and taste.
The fries were sort of a steak cut variety and cooked well. They were the redeeming part of the meal. We saw others order the skewers and they looked good. Probably the only reason I'd ever go back would be to try them.
Our server, Kayla, was friendly and checked in on us frequently.
With so many other restaurant options in the area, this one is coming...
Read moreInitial impression was really nice. The place has plenty of TVs, a very cool vibe, and lots of opportunity for outdoor seating/experience. Unfortunately the service was EXTREMELY slow. I usually give places the benefit of the doubt on busy evenings, but this was a Tuesday night with ample staff about the service floor. After waiting about 35 minutes for food after placing our order, items began to come out staggered. Which was awkward for the table because we were all so hungry at this point. Once everyone got their food a burger was overcooked (well-done not medium as requested), the flatbread was incorrect (pulled pork, not peach prosciutto) and the shrimp skewer ordered with the salad came out once the salad was almost completely eaten.
Overall a pretty disappointing dining experience for a new restaurant that appears promising. The menu was actually pretty good, I know its a new place so hopefully they can work out any kinks going on between kitchen and waitstaff and better time order. I will give it another shot, but that will not be for a few months. They still need to figure things out before I spend money...
