Ah, the infamous Montvale Mcdonalds. This place is nuts. Ok, where to begin - I'll start with the layout. After being under construction for 42 years, this fine establishment unveiled the single most unbelievable feat of civil engineering in the United States. Featuring no less than 5 hair-pin turns, the drive-thru is an eye catcher in and of itself. Even though vehicles with a wheelbase of more than 4 feet struggle to even enter, most do in fact finally make it out - though not unscathed. Rumor has it that 90% of Woburn Sullivan Tire's clientele are patrons of this Mcdonalds. This Mcdonalds also inexplicably has 3 entrances and only 1 exit, no doubt a metaphor for the struggle of success in the modern world. The engineer who designed this place is either a sociopath or the funniest person alive. It's like when a 4 year old tries to draw a self portrait but it's just all wacky and makes no sense at all - one ear is on top of their head and their lips are orange and the nose way too small. Emirati architects would absolutely lose it trying to wrap their minds around the blueprints for this place. This restaurant is open 24/7 as well, purely for necessity because the average wait at any time of day is roughly 20 hours and cars are lined up for blocks trying to get in. This restaurant is single-handedly responsible for nearly all traffic on insterstate-93. They bait you in with that sweet looking drive thru, but once you pull in - kill the engine and fire up some netflix baby because there is no getting out. All you can do is look in the rear view and weep for the other lost souls who made the same tragic mistake that you did. True story - I once came here at 4 AM, stuck it out in the roller coaster of a drive thru until the sun started coming up only to be told the system was down and they weren't taking any orders, and then it still took another 45 minutes just to exit. When I finally got up to the window, it was wide open, I just had to take a peek in and to my surprise there was just literally nobody inside and it was quieter than a library. It should also be stated that I have never gone inside of this building. I'm simply too scared. I feel like if you go into the bathroom in there you'd just somehow end up in another Mcdonalds across the country in a different time period. Adding to the mystery, this place apparently somehow has over 4 stars on google, I am happy to contribute with 5 stars across the board. If it isn't already, I am sure that this place will be featured on one of those youtube videos you end up watching before bed like "Top 10 Mysterious Massachusetts Local Legends" or something. Centuries from now, historical anthropologists will study this place. Thesis' will be written about it, documentaries, the whole nine yards. So, if you're passing through, make sure you stop by and check it out. Even if you just park across the street and watch it operate like a well-oiled machine for a bit. This place will change your life like...
Read moreWHERE'S MY FRIES??? I recently went to the McDonald's located in Woburn Massachusetts and ordered their new special Minecraft Big Mac meal! I ordered two of these Minecraft Big Mac Meals for $30! First of all the price alone was ridiculous! I don't know what McDonald's is thinking but I can't imagine any Burger Company charging $30 for two Big Macs and two fries!
Anyhow when I looked inside the Box I noticed it came with a medium french fry however they filled it up barely halfway! In essence I was getting a medium box filled with basically a small amount of fries! I decided to bring this to the manager's attention at the restaurant and rather than saying, "I'm sorry it's our mistake let me get you a full set of fries" he decided to argue with me instead! I have no idea what happened to the motto the customer is always right but apparently he was unaware of that as a manager!
This is not the first time this happened at this location! I noticed when it gets really busy there they are not keeping up with the fryolator! So what is happening is they'll make a basket of fries and then divvy it out so everyone is getting a Small Fries regardless of whether they ordered a Medium or Large! Therefore, if you order a large Fry you are getting a small fry and same holds true for the medium fry as well! They never fill up the fries like you see in any of the pictures in their restaurant! It's a complete rip off!! Also another excusethey use is that the fries are measured by weight but when you see the person working the fryolator French fry section they fill the fries by hand with NO SCALE IN SIGHT! IT'S ALL FRAUD AND BS!!!
Anyhow I will never give this McDonald's Location in Woburn, MA my business again because THE SERVICE IS HORRIBLE, THE MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBLE AND THE QUANTITY OF FOOD IS MINIMAL REGARDLESS OF THE SIZE YOU ORDER BECAUSE OF THEIR FRAUDULENT & DECEPTIVE PRACTICES!!
DO NOT GO TO THE WOBURN MCDONALD'S IN WOBURN MASSACHUSETTS!! THERES A REASON WHY THERE'S SO MANY ONE STAR REVIEWS OUT OF FIVE! THEY...
Read moreI figure McDonalds restaurants are all pretty much the same where ever you go. When I walked into this McDonalds tonight, I almost turned around and walked out. There was line of people out the door waiting to order and another gaggle waiting to get their food. I was in a hurry and this was obviously going to take way too long to get just another McDonalds meal.
So why five stars?
Here's why:
First, the long line moved quickly and efficiently. In no time, I was ordering.
Second...and this is what clinched it for me...in the middle of making change for my cash payment, two little kids (about 4 or 5yo I would guess) approached the counter and interrupted the cashier. They both had something minor wrong with their order but, hey, they were little kids and at an age where they get picky over little things. They weren't great communicators, so it wasn't at all clear what they needed. And they clearly didn't understand that the guy handling the cash--an unsanitary operation--wasn't allowed to deal with replacing their food--which obviously requires a modicom of cleanliness. But these little guys didn't understand that the cashier was trying to direct them to another guy who could fix their problem. After a minute or two of discussion, the cashier asked me, very politely, if I minded waiting while he helped these kids before completing my order. Of course I said yes, take whatever time. And he was so nice to those kids. It gave me a great smile and I swear that...
Thirdly, it turned out to be the tastiest Big Mac that I've ever...
