This is a store I've stopped at regularly in my travels through Indiana from Tennessee to Wisconsin and back and forth. I've been coming to this store for probably 15 years. After having a lot of bad experiences at other McDonald's throughout the state of Indiana along I 65, I finally found one years ago that I know I can count on. They definitely model what McDonald's talks about when they train their managers with the model of, give them the pickle!. It just means that they are flexible and not so letter of the law at this restaurant. Over the years I've become friends with several workers but in particular Kim who is one of the managers. We have a friendship and she always knows what my order is when I walk in. This visit however she was not working and I've missed her in the past and she'll be gone for a while a new knee or something of that sort. It'll be sad not to see her face but definitely she should be back by the end of spring. Today's visit was absolutely outstanding. And I compliment for workers who made my visit very enjoyable. It's hard enough to be working in a business where a lot of people don't appreciate you or are quick to complain. However I wanted to give kudos to the young lady Mikala who took my order at the front register. She had a big smile and had a positive attitude and her pleasantness just made me feel good when I went up to the counter. I asked her get me a large side of slivered onions no problem. She had great eye contact and was very polite. I told her that I knew Kim very well just tell that she liked doing her job and I surely feel very valued customer person from the interaction. That was all I wanted to eat and she offered me a drink at no charge. That's definitely something I won't forget and neither will I forget the nice interaction I had with her. During the process while I was waiting to get my food, I filled my drink and went back up and met the manager on duty, Josi. I could tell that she also was the kind of person I would want to interact with and that if there was any problem she would do her best to make it right. We need more managers in McDonald's and hourly workers who are allowed to work with customers when they have special requests and show that they can be friendly and non-defensive. I definitely was impressed with Josie and I know that Kim the manager who trained her will be glad to hear this compliment. During the same time when I was visiting I got to meet Dylan another hourly worker and Anthony.. both of these young men were quite polite and also friendly and I really felt attended to and got a lot more attention than was expected but in a good way. these four workers clearly know the importance of building relationships in their customers as it means more business. Most importantly I believe they've been trained right and raised right by their families and all like their job at this particular McDonald's. I definitely will be back again soon and I hope others will try to look for the positives and compliment more in these reviews. Workers have feelings too and they work very hard in a job that isn't always appreciated by the general public. Signed, Greg...

In granting benefit of the doubt, I think this particular location must have been understaffed on this day.
I ordered a few of my normal menu items, nothing fancy or any special requests, other than my extra pickles (gotta have them).
My order was completely screwed from GO. The young man at the drive-thru window (who actually was very cordial) asked me to pull up to the waiting window, and he'd bring my food out.
About ten minutes go by, and I'm still waiting. I'm thinking, "Wow, there making my items fresh!" I'm still waiting...
Ok. After nearly thirteen minutes, go by, I decided I needed to go in and see what's taking so long.
The inside of the restaurant wasn't very appealing compared to what the outside offered. There were a host of other customers standing waiting for food.
The kitchen seemed to be in complete disarray as the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing.
At least 8 to 10 food items were sitting, ready to be bagged, but only one person seemed to visibly care.
[Sidebar] Apparently, the one person who makes all of this flow effortlessly took the day off.
So after more than fifteen minutes of me placing my order and finally receiving it, something spectacular took place.
The cordial young man (from the drive-thru) who I didn't get his name says to me, "You need to get your money back!"
The exact sentiment was agreed upon by who I'm sure was the manager named Jack. As I'm turning around to walk out, finally receiving what I came for, Jack, who is holding up an order receipt, says, "Sir, was this your order?"
I go back, give it a quick once over, and verify that it is. Jack says, "I'm going to give you all your money back because this took way too long."
Way to go, cordial young man and Jack. The next time I'm coming through your area, I'll drop in and order a drink.
I appreciate you both. Williams Phillips/The...
Read moreWaited in drive thru with 1 vehicle in front and 1 behind me for 14 minutes after paying I ordered 3 items, the nuggets were cold and dried out like they had been sitting for a while, the cheeseburger was fine 1/2 and 1/2 Tea was fine..very disappointing after waiting so long without it being a busy time. Wanted a frappe but Everytime I try to order 1 after 9 pm they tell me their machine isn't working when they just got a new one ..if they don't want to have to make them after they begin closing down early then put a sign up..but don't advertise that you have a new frappe machine and just because you don't want to have to clean it again tell customers it's broken . Stop closing early then..if you close at 11 then at 11:01 start shutting down things and cleaning things that's what it means to close, not do it 2 to 4 hours early only to get mad because a customer wants something during open hours but you've already cleaned the machine and don't want to again so you loose a sale.. customers pay your paycheck and without them you don't have a job..Be open and ready for business during open hours and when it's time to close then do so accordingly that's...
