Service was superb. The menu and specials were diverse and interesting. The decor perfectly matched my expectations; i felt like i was dining in a nice home converted into an elegant restaurant.
i was severed good bread and a side of olives. The olives were nicely seasoned. i finished all of the bread and a requested refill never came; i didn't repeat my request.
My water glass was refilled though the diner. For me a hallmark of excellent service.
I started with melon and prosciutto; thin pieces of Mellon and pale colored prosciutto. Tasty but not amazing.
I then had a bowl of a creamy mushroom soup. The portion was large and very generous. The soup was a perfect temperature and i enjoyed it immensely. The best dish of the night.
A salad, included wth the entree was served. i wasn't expecting it and i wasn't offered any choice of dressing. I ate all of the salad but it seemed a bit wilted as if it was dressed as left sitting for a few hours. Tasty but not crisp.
My main course was a pork osso bucco with risotto, one of the evening's specials. The server made sure i understood it was pork not veal; I really appreciated that. i was still expecting the a leg cut in the osso bucco style which this wasn't; it was a nicely sized pork shank. The pork and the sauce was great but the risotto was uninspired, still semi cold.
I declined to order dessert but a selection of cakes and other items were brought to the table. Several were referred to as house made so i assume the others were purchased from a commercial bakery. All of the samples looked aged. While I assumed the actual dessert would be freshly sliced, i was taken back since i had never seen such a display that was so far removed from what is typically a pristine show piece.
This was a busy but not jam packed Thursday evening. It's hard to account for the variation in quality and presentation: from delightful and delicious to sad.
The restaurant seemed full of regular patrons enjoying a leisurely dinner. I was dining solo. There are many items on the menu i would like to try and i do plan on giving Justin's...
Read moreRude! I visit my daughter and fam every month. Last month we were looking for a new place for dinner and found Justin’s. We went on sat night they had a full house that seemed to be regulars. There were 5 of us, and we ordered an app and dinner. The app came pretty fast, but we got there at 7:00 and our dinner didn’t come till 9:00 with sorry for the delay upon delivery. It seemed the regulars that came in after us were getting served and done with dinner before ours was on the table. I am here on a visit again and decided to give JUSTINS another chance the food was so great. Had a 6:00 reservation seated right away the place was empty. Got our table for 5 and were waited on immediately. It seemed every few minutes someone would ask us if we were ready to order. I said to my family they seemed to be rushing us. After we were there for approximately 8 minutes the owner or maybe the manager came to our table and asked us if we were ready to order. We told him a few minutes and his response was, “well make sure you move it along,we are on a tight schedule” How Rude!! My family and I were in shock. I am no youngster, and I have never in my life have I had a restaurant owner(manager)say something like that! If you take a reservation you can’t count on them being done at a specific time! It’s not like it was New Years Eve! At this point we decided to just ask for a check for our drinks and move on. It was very uncomfortable.I got the head honchos attention and requested the check as I told home we were going to leave so he could get his next reservation in on time. His response, was ok don’t worry about the drinks no charge. He was actually trying to act nice and polite to us . He seemed very happy we were leaving. Needless to say we won’t be back. We moved on to Biggies had a great meal and great service. JUSTINS you should be ashamed of yourselves. I am in a customer service business and would never treat a client like that especially a new...

Pollo a Parmigiana
Appearance: 6/10 Taste: 4/10
This Italian restaurant offers a $29.95 price fixed menu if you arrive between 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Tuesdays through Fridays and 1:00 to 4:00 PM on Sundays. It includes a full three course meal with bread and coffee or tea.
I’m addition, Luis’s duel role as maître d and server was friendly, efficient and prompt.
But all of the pleasantries halt when the food arrives. While I am sure that the cooking staff tried their hardest, the end result was not meant to be less than stellar.
While the chicken parm patty by itself tasted decent, the sauce and pasta were disappointing. The dish was swimming in a watery substance which was supposed to be the marinara sauce. Due to the weak texture, it did not help enhance any flavor to the bland pasta.
Even though I did not have the best experience, I still acknowledge the fantastic service on the floor along with their early dinner special. It’s only fair to give the cooking staff accreditation for their efforts.
