I never post things like this but omg.The service was terrible. We asked for a total of 8 rolls we got 6.We asked for our appetizers we only received half of them.We specifically asked for lemon in our water without ice we received ice water without lemon. The entire time we were there our waitress ignored us! We waited for 15 minutes to get another menu so we could finish ordering and still we didn't get everything. Our waitress sat 2 tables away enjoying lunch, which is fine, everyone needs to enjoy a complete meal. However we waited until she was finished to get her attention, that didn't happen .To top it all off THERE WAS A PREGNANT ROACH.We didn't make a scene. We politely, and quietly informed the group next to us that there was a roach crawling in their direction and went to the counter to pay our bill. The cashier/waitress noticed we didn't tip and had the gall to demand a tip. Even after she was made aware of the infestation ,and terrible service. I would love to give this -5 stars but unfortunately I cannot. I provided pictures of the roach,it lives in the bench by the window.

**Makoto Asian Cuisine: A Mix of Hits and Misses** Nestled in a small, somewhat aged space, Makoto Asian Cuisine may not catch your eye from the outside, but what it lacks in exterior appeal, it makes up for in service and variety. The staff, despite the surroundings, exude warmth and efficiency, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. With fast service, you won't have to wait long to dive into their all-you-can-eat menu. Speaking of the menu, it's a mixed bag. Some dishes hit the spot, while others fall short of expectations. However, the portion sizes are generous, allowing you to sample a wide array of flavors. One unique aspect is the slip of paper provided for ordering, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. Just be sure to arrive with an empty stomach to fully indulge in the offerings. In conclusion, Makoto Asian Cuisine may not be the most glamorous spot in town, but it's worth a visit for its friendly service and diverse menu. Just be prepared for a culinary adventure with highs and lows.

My first time at this restaurant and my experience was going well up until a family came with a dog. They sat him/her in a chair at the table and it wasn’t a service dog, more like a family pet. I sat there a few minutes to see if the waitress would address them but she kept on waiting on her tables. I then asked her for my check and decided to wrap the rest of my food up to go.I’m in no way discriminating against pets. I have a dog of my own and I would never bring him in a restaurant where people are eating food. Pets shouldn’t be allowed in restaurant unless it’s a service pet and if so don’t have them sitting at a table where other people will sit afterwards. We all know most restaurants only wipe down tables and not chairs and dogs tend to lick, slob and shake hair all over, so please people stop bringing pets inside of restaurant it’s not sanitary.

Update: While I appreciate the apology it's not enough I spent much more time then you did to fix what you lost or stole. Per you there was no "satisfactory resolution." You don't care about your customers at all to make a situation right. I never got the video you agreed to email me after I had to call to request my CC back. After you lost or stole my CC I tried cancelling my tip through the CC provider and in response you disputed my claim to keep the tip. How distasteful! I don't want leave a tip after you lost or stole my CC and you shouldn't accept a tip after that but instead you fought to keep the tip after very little effort was put into looking for my CC. I was so focused on you losing my credit card I completely forgot I left a tip on the receipt. You allegedly found my credit card in the front where you spent an unusually short amount of time looking. I called and asked for the video and you agreed to send it but that was never was emailed so it could easily be a lie. You did mail me back the card with a note saying they apologize for your mistakes and that's it, no offer for free or reduced food just a note saying "We apologize for our mistakes" nothing to make the situation right. Moreover no promised video. I know I would bend over backwards if I made a mistake like that but that's not you. You never took the time to send the video and even fought to keep a tip that never should have been accepted. Zero customer service or accountability overall very sad and demonstrates your apology isn't sincere. That was a very big mistake assuming it wasn't outright theft... Fighting to keep your tip after that is tacky and solidifies why I won't return. Next time you accidentally keep or intentionally steal someone's credit card maybe offer them a free or reduced meal or at the very least don't fight to keep the tip and email the video you agreed to send.

OLD: They lost my credit card after charging it. I literally emptied my pockets and cleaned out my wallet in front of them before anyone took me seriously and looked for it. My wife even asked if I got my card back with the bill because she never saw it with the receipt I needed to sign. They barely searched around the register and looked for a minute if that, it likely was given to another table or misplaced altogether. The one who lost it INSISTED he gave it back but it's clear that didn't happen. Instead of continuing to look for it all effort was put into checking the cameras on a small phone but the guy likely couldn't see anything on such small screen or was trying to prove I got the card back which didn't happen so that couldn't be shown. I just ended up cancelling it before leaving. I was not offered anything for the inconvenience just a weird forced "sorry" after I informed them I cancelled it and was leaving... Never got an offer for a reduced bill nothing! The guy looking for it on a phone screen was not the one who lost my credit card, but he did return to work as nothing else needed to be done would have been nice if he kept looking for it... no accountability. Today was my birthday and in 41 years of life I never had this happen nor have I heard about this happening to anyone I personally knew. Really careless with your financial information. I use to frequent this place but that's done. What an inconvenience I just got that credit card a couple months ago and will have to change all my reoccurring monthly bills now. The interaction was very awkward to say the least because they didn't want to bother looking for it outside...

So I placed an order today over the phone for pickup for a spicy crunchy tuna roll and a spicy crunchy salmon roll. I go all the time and when I opened up my order it looked a little bit different than how it usually looks but I tried to eat it anyways. I couldn’t even eat 1 roll of the spicy crunchy tuna roll because there was like a chewy hard piece in it and it smelled not fresh and very fishy. I had to spit it out and I was hopeful so I tried the spicy crunchy salmon roll. This one was worse than the tuna because it was warm like it had been sitting out, dry, rubbery texture, and smelled more like fish, I had to spit it out because I could not swallow it. I called to see if I could bring it back and maybe get a refund but the girl on the phone told me that they don’t do refunds and that she would give me a $3 coupon on my next order. I’m disappointed because I am a regular customer and I’ve never had sushi from Makoto that tastes like this. I did not eat the sushi because it was so disgusting and I called not even 10 minutes after I had picked up my order, I gave the girl my order number I asked if I could bring it back and maybe get something else instead or a refund, but they only offered me a $3 off coupon for a meal that I had paid $13 for. I’m really disappointed and I will probably not come back as last week when I came my sushi was also a bit fishy, but at least the sushi last...
