This was such an amazing find! My friend and I were returning home from a long but wonderful road trip. It was supper time so we were hungry, but did not have a place in mind to eat. I asked Google for restaurants near our current location. This place popped up only 15 minutes away. I could not even pronounce the name so asked my friend , (who is Mexican BTW) If he could pronounce it and he had no clue(he has been here since he was a child so has not kept up on his language. However, he has always told me the best Mexican style restaurants are not the chain stores types but the small "Hole in the wall" places, I wanted to put this to the test. Boy was he correct! We walked in and were greeted with the the most appetizing aroma of truly authentic Mexican food being prepared in the kitchen, the place was packed but we soon had a table and my friend was able to order from the menu above the counter in broken Spanish, however the lady understood him just fine. Our order arrived at our table very quickly considering how busy they were. The plates were hot but not too hot and the food was delicious! Our entrees were paired with the best beans and rice I have ever eaten. The serving sizes were generous, and I was making yummy sounds upon every mouthful. My friend said that this is what he had been craving. I highly recommend this place to everyone. who loves Mexican style food or not, this place will surely become a favorite....

Service is horrible! Not only slow, but rude! I ordered a drink and the server came back to the table with drinks about 20 min later and didn't bring my drink. I asked for it and she responded "I didn't bring you a drink because you didn't order it". They brought the food one plate at a time and some of us got our food 15 min before we received the last plate. My mom's mojarra was the last plate to arrive. It was very hard to eat as it was cold and hard. We needed drink refills and the server never came back to the table to check on food or drinks. Not coming back...

Last time I was here at this Woodburn restaurant was probably over 5 years ago not because of no desire to return but it seemed out of the way where I lived. They were known to make on order, flour tortillas while you wait. We were nearby this restaurant in Woodburn and decided to see if eatery was still open for business...and they were to our delight! A dozen flour made to order was only $3.00. They were wrapped well and remained HOT for 3 hours. We couldn't wait and ate one a piece as soon as we returned to our car. Nice and chewy. We plan on returning for menu's...

This is the only place we found that makes traditional Barbacoa and my guy has been on the hunt for some for about a year maybe longer. So we’ll be back for sure. They offer this dish on the weekends only in case you’re interested. And they have beer on tap which is extra awesome per JC. I had a bowl tortilla soup and a taco. Love their home made corn tortillas but the soup needed some tortillas in it. Otherwise it was good. The taco was big but needed guacamole and sour cream or something else. This place is family owned and this guy’s brother owns a restaurant

This one I keep close to my heart. The best mole I’ve ever eaten (besides El Cardenal in Mexico DF). I recommend the enmoladas. Incredible. We have dinner here when we go to the outlet mall nearby. Helpful if you speak Spanish but everyone speaks English too. They also prefer cash but cards are accepted. You order at the counter and take your drinks to the table with a number and they bring your food out to your table. When you are finished, you pay at the counter by bringing your number with you—tipping is done at the counter, too.

On my quest to find truly authentic Mexican food in the Pacific Northwest, I stopped by El Tule Taqueria—and it absolutely delivered! The flavors were bold, fresh, and packed with that homemade feel that’s hard to come by. One standout? The Mexican pizza—crispy, cheesy, and perfectly seasoned. It was unlike anything I’ve had before and seriously addictive. The staff was friendly, the vibe was relaxed, and you can tell they take pride in their food. Definitely a must-visit if you’re chasing real-deal Mexican flavor in the PNW.
