Edit 4 years later- Still our favorite Mexican food restaurant in Woodburn. It's absolutely fantastic. Everything below is still true and the new patio area is so nice during the summer. You won't be disappointed. Best food in town with great service.

By far my favorite Mexican restaurant in Woodburn. Woodburn has many places to pick from and from the outside it doesn't look like much being off the main Front Street, but it's fantastic. It's a hidden secret. Every item I've tried has been really good. My favorite is shrimp with green sauce that arrives in a rock bowl, with grilled cactus on the side (also fantastic!) . I think it's called the molechette (sorry if I'm butchering it!) The green sauce is incredible and I'd order a batch for home. It's not spicy but flavorful & has garlic. Get the corn tortillas with your meal. All of their sauces are delicious and aren't from a can but really have alot of depth & flavor. Some places just do spicy, Trapala has flavor. Branch out from the enchaladas & street tacos and try something specially made only here. You can get those other items anywhere. Fajitas are huge, can easily be shared or take leftovers. The tacos al pastor (pork) are really good. Margaritas and beer, great service. I send all my out of town friends...

This place was awful!!! I was extremely optimistic based on the positive reviews. The table we sat at initially was so wobbly I asked if we could have another table, that table was just as wobbly so we decided to eat outside. The waitress was pleasant and brought us chips and salsa, almost immediately when I tried the salsa I could tell that it was absolutely out of a jar or a can. At that point I should have listened to my gut and got up and left. My wife and myself both had the steak burrito and my daughter had the taco salad. The steak was supposed to be cooked over charcoal it tasted as though it was steamed and was completely flavorless. The sour cream was warm, the guacamole tasted like it was squeezed out of a bag. My daughter's taco salad was gross and oily. We could not finish it we each took about two bites and we're done. This place either fell off the cliff of quality or the people that left positive reviews were all recently paroled or their microwaves were broken. I asked the waitress for our check and she wanted to know if everything was alright. I told her that it was just awful we couldn't eat it and she did not charge us for the food, we just paid for the drinks. It was a terrible experience we will...

My guy and I love this place. We used to enjoy the outdoor patio on nice days but they have since done some remodeling and the patio is now an extension of the inside of the restaurant. They did an amazing job. It's really nice and a great environment to hang out on a Sunday afternoon watch their new huge big screen TV all the tables look handcrafted wood the walls are all brick. All the windows are firefighters style and they slide open to allow it to be a outdoor indoor space I can’t wait to come on the warmer days to enjoy it with the windows open. The owner of this location is awesome and very friendly. He makes us feel very welcome by coming over to say hello to us every time we come to dine. and his staff is super nice as well. You never sent more than just a couple of minutes before someone comes over to check on you or take your order. This place is a well oiled machine. We highly recommend this place if you’re in Woodburn, I assure you will...

The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is presented very attractively and looks really good. I’ve been here twice now and I’ve gotten the fish tacos and the vegetarian taco salad. Both meals were pretty much just ok taste wise. They seemed to lack some flavor and were kind of bland. I’m not sure what they were missing. Also, both times we were seated at a table that had a pipe draining into a bucket right next to it. And even with the windows closed on the patio there were flies, which was a bit annoying. But overall a decent sit down Mexican place.

This is one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants you’ll find. I usually stay in Portland and eat there but we decided to eat while visiting the shopping mall and found this place. The food was delicious and prices weren’t outrageous. The employees were polite and attentive even though they were very busy on a Sunday afternoon. I had the pumpkin flower quesadilla because I’ve never seen any other place sell these and my grandma used to make them from her garden. My daughter loved her chicken enchilada and wifey was happy with her huge chicken sopes.
