There were 4 people standing at the hostess booth when we walked in (2 managers). They looked at us, but didnt smile or greet us continued to chit chat. They pretty much waited for us to say something. We got seated right away as they weren't that busy. We ordered our drinks and he said he would come back to take our order when he brought the drinks. He came back set the drinks down and left. Watched him bring out food to the other tables, noticed that none of the employees were really smiling. Our server came over to clear a table by us and when he noticed me staring at him he finally came over to take our order. We never saw any bussers and the waiters weren't bringing the food out. We got our spinach dip, it was cold. Our food came out quick and was right. There were barley any fries so we ordered more before she left our table as she asked if we needed anything. We were done with out food and our server came back by, didnt ask if we needed anything, just told us to pay using the kiosk and he walked away. Our fry orders (one plain and one garlic) was on our tab. He came back by again after awhile and finally asked if we needed anything. We told him we were waiting on a couple orders of fries. He came back out with one order of plain, barely cooked fries. We asked about the order of garlic fries. He said he would go check he only saw the one order in the window. He returned shortly after and brought out the other fries. He never smiled, didn't seem to care about anything, didn't check on us until after we had been sitting awhile and waiting for more fries, and never got us refills. My family, friends, and I dine at Red Robin a lot and this was the most disappointing one I have been to. Normally when there is one manager everything is great and when its not busy they walk around and check on people. This place had atleast 3 managers working. One in the back who would walk out and look around and go back in the kitchen and the other 2 upfront. Normally when you leave they say have a good night or say something. Not one person said anything. A hostess just stood in the doorway still...
Read moreI will never go to this establishment again. We were advised we had a 30 minute wait. They messages us 15 minutes later, awesome! We go in and they gave our table to the people who just walked in the door. Nobody told us this just left us standing there as they discussed it and kept seating other people. A man asked if he could help us and I said yeah we were notified our table was ready but it seems it was given away. He addressed the issue and gave us some free dessert coupons and was very nice and apologetic for the mishap. It truly wasn’t a big deal as we are all human but it wasn’t handled correctly. We were waiting for the next table and the hostess said she could get us into two tables that were right next to each other. Great we can do that. Well it was 2 booth back to back and I said that wouldn’t work. We were here because my son had just returned from his overseas tour and we were celebrating his birthday. Me family traveled from central Oregon to have a celebratory dinner. When I told her two booths would not work she sighed like we were inconveniencing her, multiple times these deep sighs. I told her we were there for a birthday dinner and would just wait and as we turned around she said “oh my god”… we were patrons of this establishment, trying to do as they asked and settling for a lesser experience to help the situation. It wasn’t good customer service. She was out of line and I will never return to a place that allows such disrespect to patrons. It was busy I get it, but it wasn’t our doing when our table was given to someone else. We were more than willing to wait for a table that was big enough...
Read moreIn 20 years of going to Red Robins as a family..this was the first time I have ever walked out of one. The hostess was very nice and seated us promptly. We waited for almost 10 minutes and our waitress came over. Instantly I could tell by her body language she had an attitude. My son is 11 and has a speech impediment and she was so rude and kept shaking her head as she was trying to understand him. I finally asked if she had a problem..she responded rudely that I was the one with the problem and then she just walked off!! She never finished our order. I was astounded. If I seemed frustrated it was due to the body language and way she acted in taking my son’s order. It was not ok. And then to just walk off…in the middle of our order. I could not believe it. We got up and walked out. I later called the manager and got nowhere with him. Like I said, we have been going to Red Robin for years. This was the worst experience I have ever had. And to have my son be treated like he was..having a disability was uncalled for. I appreciate people who are working hard right now. I recognize many are overworked…but having an instant attitude to customers is not ok and just walking away…to paying customers…in the middle of an order. Horrible! I will not be back to this Red Robin and I am considering not visiting any at all. It is so sad as it has been our favorite family place. But I would at this point rather support a local establishment that is founded on good customer service and who need our business and will treat people...
