Update 09.17.19. Called hotel to check on a reservation for my family. Person picked up and put me on hold without saying a word. Waited and waited. Then line went quiet. Called back. Same result. Tried two more times. Same. Not even so much as "Hello, I am with another customer. Can I place you on hold or call you back". For this very unprofessional behavior I am dropping from 4 stars to 2 stars. Booked rooms at another hotel (not BW) even though a Diamond member at BW.
Staff gets 5 stars. Facility gets 3. I booked a room online but in my hurry I forgot to double check the date. Most sites I visit default to the current day but BW defaults to the following day. The hotel couldn't cancel it and told me to call Customer Care. I did. They told me Customer Service would need to help me cancel it since it was past the 24 hour window (even though I made the reservation an hour earlier) and they had all gone home and couldn't talk to me until tomorrow. This was no help. This was not Customer Care. The option I selected on the phone tree was to cancel or change a reservation and then BW doesn't empower their staff to handle those issues. This is where the hotel staff stepped in. She changed my reservation to tonight, upgraded my room to the only room left in the whole hotel (earlier she told another guest they were sold out knowing I needed a room but hadn't resolved it yet). To boot she gave it to me at the same price as my original booking which was 20-30 dollars less than this room. That is empowerment and taking care of the customer. She said she would leave a note for the manager in the morning. Add to this that both front desk staff were impeccably dressed in BW wear and well groomed. Great service and presence.
Now for the facility. They are renovating somewhat. I get it. Next to my room door was an open bucket of paint waiting to be spilled. Also, whoever is doing the painting needs some training. Their work is very sloppy getting paint all over the nice wood trim, crooked masking lines and painting over walls that need patching and repair. This is a shame considering the image they want to portray.

Read moreMeticulously clean and spacious rooms (as expected from a Best Western), but very loud road noise due to the hotel being situated RIGHT next to I-5. Expect to hear cars 24/7, especially if your room is on the side of the building closest to the freeway (as mine was).
For those saying there was no phone charger next to the bed: The alarm has a USB port you can plug your charger cord into and you can charge your phone from there. It's not as convenient as a traditional plug-in, but it works.
The breakfast was nice! They offer eggs, potatoes, sausage, pastries (muffins, cinnamon rolls, bagels, etc.), oatmeal, waffles, and cereal - with coffee, milk, apple juice, cranberry juice, or orange juice to drink.
UPDATE: Now giving this hotel 3 stars. I stayed for a third night, only this time on the first floor in room 123. The noise was substantially worse than on the second and third floors - the room is right next to the parking lot, so you can hear every car park outside of your room. In addition, you can hear the people above you walking at all hours of the night (I was lucky enough to hear someone's child repeatedly running laps across the floor throughout the night) and the TV and personal conversations can be heard from the room next door. And finally, the alarm next to my bed didn't have the USB plug-in that the first two rooms I stayed in did, which was very inconvenient.

Read more👎👎👎👎👎Very ugly experience , have ended up booking somewhere else !!!Just now December 29, 2021 at traveling back to California at exactly 451 pm Pacific time. It was the most horrible rudeness experience ever had with the Lady who took the call at the front desk after making reservation for A night stay and after nicely and politely asking her name she suddenly started throwing loud voice and blatantly intentionally rude saying that am not listening and don't need to get her name for the reservation!!! I don't understand what's wrong now with asking names ??? If that's the case then there's always a better way of explaining things out calmly but instead words firing out from her Big mouth without ceasing as she said your booking is cancelled and hang up on me. Had no chance to say anything anymore , tried calling back multiple times and keep hanging up !!! What kind of Trashy attitude is that!! How very poor character and totally NO client and telephone manners whatsoever!!! We are Best western frequent client Rewards member and this experience is definitely an alarming and very concerning with regards to client satisfaction , nobody deserves such treatment . We believe this is not how the Corporate would train and let their employees misbehave nowadays .
