I live in south jersey but originally from Philly so I’ve had my fair share of good Vietnamese food my entire life, I was so excited for find this gem in the area because I didn’t have to travel over the bridge to find authentic Vietnamese food. I ordered the beef eye round pho add meatballs and the broth was so clean and light. The portion size was pretty good as well. My husband ordered the grilled pork vermicelli and he normally orders it at all the other viet spots we frequent as well. He said the flavor was good but the texture of the pork was fatty. I would’ve given this place a five star but my son was with us as well and he’s good at ordering and was specific that he wanted the sweet chili chicken that was on the appetizer menu but did not want the sweet chili sauce but the server brought it out coated in the sauce anyway and said that the chefs forgot that he didn’t want it on there and that it isn’t spicy and placed it down anyway. I don’t believe in sending things back but I also feel like if we were specific about how we wanted it done, why would you place it down anyway instead of just remaking the order? Other than that it is a really cute family owned restaurant.

Bo Ne makes a damn fine grilled chicken Bahn Mi. The pickled veggies and fresh cucumber slices had a bright, refreshing flavor profile and a crisp snap. The chicken was juicy and rich with a nice amount of smokey flavor and a lovely light grill char. The bread hit that perfect blend of soft/crunch/chew, and the ratio of roll to fill was spot on. Of the many Bahn Mi sandwiches I've tried, I don't believe I've ever had one that included shredded lettuce — I'm more accustomed to the green leafy element being an herb like cilantro or green onion, but I was into it. The service and hospitality were on point, and the price was fair for the portion and quality of the ingredients and preparation!. 5 stars. No notes! I'm looking forward to my next visit.

First time here and I can't wait to go back😁 Its a rainy day and I was in the mood for some pho. Stepping into the place I would describe it as cozy and a bit quiet despite the other conversations going on around the restaurant. We were told to sit wherever we wanted and picked a window booth. Im no stranger to pho but I did ask for a recommendation and went with it. I was not disappointed! The broth was savory, the noodles were perfect, and the chicken was tender and tastey. I also enjoyed the summer rolls with the peanut sauce😋 I look forward to my next visit🫶👏

Skip the chicken bahn mi here. But overall, it's a decent place.

First time here I ordered the chicken bahn mi and beef stew, and although it wasn't bad by any measure, and the pricing is more than fair, it left me wanting more.

The chicken bahn mi was definitely the most lack luster bahn mi I have ever had. I am used to the meat in my bahn mi having a caramelized glaze on it from the grill that gives it a sweet/savory mouth feel, and the chicken in my particular bahn mi tasted like it was boiled in a watered-down curry, not grilled in a sweet soy based glaze. It was juicy, but a bit more bland than I am used to. I am no expert on Vietnamese cuisine by any means, and my experiences have been far in between, but this was definitely bottom of the rung for me. Again, it's not bad by ANY measure, but for my particular experience, this ain't the best. It was a decent sandwich, but I was expecting something totally different. Hopefully this was a one off, and their typical fare is what I'm used to, but I can't say I will be back to find out.

The beef stew was my first time trying Vietnamese beef stew so I have nothing to compare it to, but it definitely wasn't something that piqued my taste buds. It had that weird tomato base with lemon taste to it that you find in Asian and Latin American cuisine, and I am not a fan of the mix. I suspect most people will love it, but for me, it's not my style of cuisine.

If you enjoy Vietnamese cuisine, and Woodbury is the closest to you without going out of your way, then this will do quite nicely. If you can make it to Cherry Hill or Philadelphia instead, I would hold off, especially if you are looking for bahn mi.

P.s. if you haven't guessed by now, I judge a place by it's bahn mi alone, so if you want some pho or something along those line, disregard my entire review because you'll probably...

Earlier this week, on the night where we eat out a restaurant each week, a small miracle occurred; my wife and I had a free night where we wouldn't have to watch our daughter for about two hours, which meant that we wouldn't have to go to Applebees or Panera Bread, and could instead branch out a bit to something that we hadn't tried before. While scrolling through places near Woodbury that we hadn't tried yet, Bo Ne stood out as a clear favorite. Reviews seemed to be good, and neither of us had ever tried Vietnamese food. It turned out to be an excellent decision.

We were greeted by the restaurant staff as soon as we entered, and were pleasant surprised that the menu included pictures of the different meals, so we wouldn't have to Google each one to see what it looked like. After making our order (two entrees and an appetizer), we were shocked that it arrived to our table within ten minutes. The spring rolls were excellent (a great mixture of big chunky shrimp and tender pork, surrounded by vegetables) and our entrees were both delicious and well-portioned. We both walked out with leftovers to eat the next day. Without a doubt, we'll be back again. 5/5, would...
