QDOBA Mexican Eats — Restaurant in Woodhaven

My son could have gone anywhere for his birthday but he chose his favorite restaurant...Qdoba. We hadn't been there in awhile and we ordered close to $40. Even though the restaurant was filthy, we had no complaints until we saw that we had gotten the wrong salsa So we asked to exchange it and they said they wuld have to charge us extra even though the sign says the sides never cost extra. We opened the queso and it was watery and had the taste of broccoli soup. It was nasty. We asked if we could have a refund and they said no. They also said we couldn't have the receipt. I asked if we could speak to their boss and one of them said that all three of them were the managers but another guy said the owners are Victor and Steve. We insisted on a receipt or refund they flat out said no. I started recording how rude they were being because it was so unbelievable. I wish I could post the video on here but I will make sure I post it somewhere. They made us leave. My husband drove us to the Taylor store so we could ask the employees there to see if the queso had been changed since the little boys working at the Woodhaven store were so rude. When we got to Taylor, they were so nice. They saw the video and said that is not how they are supposed to treat customers. We ordered a new Birthday dinner for my son. The cheese was so thick and yummy and they didn't even charge us for his meal. We will never go to Woodhaven Qdoba again even though it is closer for us. I want to start by saying we come here a few times a month. Today was the last time we will be back. A laundry list of issues going on in this place all of a sudden. For starters we came in right when they opened up which they were 15 minutes late opening. I couldn't believe the condition of the dining area! Every single table was full of food or garbage. The guy that opened the door 15 minutes late after we called at 10:30 was extremely rude like he was mad we were waiting to get in. After we ordered our food and went to sit down every table was dirty. I'm talking food, napkins etc on every table. The floor was so nasty everywhere we didn't even want to eat inside. I let the guy know behind the counter the tables were all dirty. He looked at me and turned around and kept talking with the other workers never saying one word to me (guy wearing black t shirt). We sat there for 25 minutes eating at a table we had to clean and not one person came out to clean tables as they stood laughing in the kitchen.The pop machine was broke, lobby was trashed, outside dining area was dirty and not maintained. The napkin and sauce area was destroyed. Absolutely unacceptable for a place that serves food to the public. If you don't care about your business close it down or hire someone who cares. Not to mention while we were eating one of the employees burped so loud customers actually turned and looked into the kitchen as they were all laughing. This place needs some serious management changes before we ever come back. I am calling the health department and will be sending photos to corporate office. Finally received an email back after a couple weeks. The email assured me the issue would be looked into and offered to make it right. Still haven’t been back. The experience left a sore taste. I hope they fix it for future customers.

UPDATE to original REVIEW

The owners reply to my review seems to have fallen flat. I responded to the Qdoba customer email as directed 3 different times over the last couple weeks. Still no response. It’s becoming clear that the responses on google are just for show. Look I don’t want free product. I want good service and fresh food. Finding a good place to make your go to food spot is tough especially in todays market. Qdoba this is your opportunity to improve.

I usually frequent this location 2-3 times a week. Between 9-920pm. Recently the staff refuses to make any new food so whatever is left is just what I’m told I have to get. I wouldn’t recommend going at this time. I was told it was that franchises policy not to make any new food after 9pm. There were misc food ingredients mixed in and around other containers. I wanted fajita veggies and they tried to give me a few old pieces and told me they wouldn’t make any more. When I asked again another worker told me they were out.
