The worst tasting room experience I’ve ever had. I will start by saying my group was admittedly loud. We were a birthday group hitting several tasting rooms associated to a Groupon, but that does not excuse the way we were treated by Pondéra. The staff was incredibly rude…. So rude that other customers came up to us to apologize. The experience was completely devoid of any information about the wine or winery and was completely focused on how quickly we could be hurried through the tasting and out the door. The staff was rude before we even started talking and there is frankly no excuse for how they conducted themselves singling one person out of our group of ten and telling them they were the reason the whole group was loud. Needless to say Pondéra will get none of our business going forward and would not recommend anyone giving them their money.
In response to Pondera’s response…. There was no one in our group disrespectful to the staff. Guests came up to our group and apologized for how we were treated by staff. This was not a “tasting...
Read morePondera is a good sized tasting room located in the heart of Woodinville. We visited on a typical seattle fall day (crisp and rainy) and truly enjoyed the escape it provided.
From the moment we stepped foot inside it just felt comfortable. The temperature, the decor, the team working hard to keep everyone happy, and the wine.
Decorated with art from various artists, the space feels cozy, but as you walk around you realize it’s bigger than it feels. We were seated in the window up front by the door and felt like we had our own little cafe.
The team was friendly and seemed to have a genuine love for what they do. We learned they are family owned and operated and while their son produces the wine, they offer tastings, run an art shop, and run a framing business.
We, of course, liked their most expensive wine on the tasting menu, and had to have a bottle. Following suit with all other wineries, this waived a tasting fee. I highly recommend this wonderful spot for those rainy days when you just want to get in out...
Read moreWOW!!! The wines were exceptional and the art gave the winery a very homey atmosphere. Tasted Viognier for the first time, possibly became my favorite white wine. All the reds were fantastic, however, the Reserve Malbec was head and shoulders my favorite red, as usual, my wife didn’t agree, her favorite was their Cab Franc. The staff was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable…. Great experience! FYI…. They published a book about how they make wine… think Dr. Seuss, poem with fantastic whimsical cartoon art. The poem written by a staff member and the art was hand drawn by one of the owners! You can’t go wrong...
