A fantastic product sampled in a relaxing and cozy space. The shop is well stocked with products and your artistic fare is everywhere you look. And the puppies...omg the pups. We spent well over an hour here, sampling the Bee Hive- all of the honey meads.All. Of. Them. 3 standard wines- Dry, semi- Sweet, and sweet. This, in addition to 7 specialty wines. Our pour steward, Erin, tracked us along with a half dozen other couples as we muddled through our generous tasting. Honey Mead is super sweet, even the dryest being sweeter than a Reisling. I love mead. I love how unique it can be. Light, sweet crisp; dark and dry. Flavors like rose and raspberry. And so I was delighted when I found Sky River Mead. They have the full range, and they're all so, so good. There are at least a dozen to choose from. My favorite is Solas. They do tastings, with a nice outdoor space that has a beautiful view. There's also a little shop inside that has drinking horns, candles, jewelry, and a few other goodies. I enjoy taking a look around whenever I'm there. They should really tell you how dry vs sweet something is on the label. I tried the Blackberry mead with high hopes, but was ultimately let down. It was ok on the palette, but so dry that I couldn't even taste that honey flavor mead is known for. This just tasted like a regular dry wine to me. Also the bottle is really a boring generic clear wine bottle. If you want some really good mead bypass this stuff and get a bottle of vikings blod.
