I came here for the first time and unfortunately the experience was not good. I ordered the âdaily specialâ Pernil with yellow rice and tostones. It was supposed to come with sweet plantains but I was told that âthey didnât have anymoreâ, which I thought was strange because when I was there they had been only open for 1 hour, so how are they not prepared if they literally just opened? The meat was extremely salty and didnât have any real flavor, just tasted water and salt. The rice and tostones were bland. Overall the pernil was terribly salty which gave me a migraine that lasted all day. I wouldâve sent the pernil back but I was starving and needed food immediately. The legs on the table were uneven and my table kept wobbling, it was very annoying. There was no soap in the bathroom. The bathroom door lock was busted and there was a huge hole right next to the toilet which is a dangerous ankle breaker!! There was no warning or caution sign over the hole, someone could get severely injured because itâs not noticeable until last second. I was the only customer eating in the restaurant and the waitress didnât come up to me and ask me if the food was okay, nor did she ask me if the food was alright when I was paying. I wouldâve explained to her my feedback. I didnât enjoy the food, the service, or the atmosphere (extremely salty food, no soap, hole in floor, busted lock on bathroom, wobbly table, poor service). Would...
Read moreFor beginners my apologies because i am not in the habit of giving bad reviews..Ever! However, i have to say that I was extremely disappointed since this was my first time ordering from here. Being Dominican and knowing first hand how good Puerto Ricans can cook (specially on the island) i was not impressed in the least with the sorullitos, the alcapurria, and especially Not with my tostones con chicharrĂłn de pollo đ. First of all, los sorullitos were super skinny and small; the alcapurria was not the usual oval shaped ones stuffed with meat. This one was long and thin and left me asking 'wheres the beef'..SMH..and then the chicharrones could have used more flavoring and the tostones were dark, too crispy and over-cooked..thats a definite No-NO to a Dominican!! đ¤Śââď¸ i dont mind paying for my meals but i expect good tasting Spanish food with real Flavor as we know it. Since it was delivered i cannot rate the atmosphere itself nor the rest of the food they offer. But Sadly i dont think I'll be eating here again. Sorry. But try it for yourself maybe your experience will be...
Read moreIâd like to say Iâm a pretty generous food critic.. When i arrived at 11:30 the sign said open, but the doors were locked. I had knocked, but no answer so I had to call to be let inside. Not all items on the menu were available so options were limited (could've been the time of day) I first began with asking for a chicken empanada (which was forgotten about and not put in my bag) then I asked for two trays one with white rice beans on the side (because who likes soggy rice?)And pernil. I was charged separately for the beans which I thought was ridiculous, but whatever. The other tray I got was arroz con gandules and pollo guisado. If you like fatty chicken then this is the place to get it. It barely had any flavor, the rice was good. The meat was disappointing. Thereâs definitely better places you just have to travel a little ways more. I sadly wont be going back, which sucks because itâs conveniently 1 minute from my...
