Food: 3.5 good portions but just ok food overall.

Pollo a la brasa was good Jalea was a 4 out of 5 Sudado was fair but would reorder Filete de pescado was good Lomo de pescado was super greasy, the taste was good overall but slightly salty lomo de carne was a little dry/chewy to eat Sides: frijoles were ok maduros were good rice was good alfajores were a little dryer than normal and the filling was not that tasty. When even the kids didn’t like them, you know they aren’t good.

Customer service:

This was terrible. I can’t remember ever having worse service.

This was a 2.5 hour meal, half an hour to get the check after asking 2x.

other customers were looking around for staff aside from us; no one checked in with us throughout the meal

They sent us one pitcher of water for a table of 10. Then it had what seemed like grains of coffee in the jar. When we asked for a new one, instead of just apologizing and bringing us a new pitcher, they sent another waiter who felt the need to come back and tell us we would need to order bottled water if that water did not suffice. We then had to explain that we just thought the pitcher needed to be cleaned.

The waitress taking our orders corrected me when I mispronounced a menu item “pollo saltado”instead of what it said on their menu “Lomo de pollo” the difference is marginal but she kept correcting as we kept ordering the different versions of it.

one gentleman was trying to be accommodating but the rest of the staff seemed like the customers were an inconvenience for them.

When they didn’t have room for us at first, one waiter said we would have to wait outside. We had kids and it was freezing outside, what seemed like the owner or manager quickly corrected her and made arrangements across 1 seating sections for us.

Ambiance:

The decor is nice with brick surrounding music was ok just slightly too loud Menu has typos in it with 2 soup sections when it should have read chaufa in the other section. Some of the food items had descriptions under them and some didn’t.

Cleanliness: note my comments about the pitcher of water. restroom sink was loose a couple of tables...

The food at this establishment is consistently excellent; however, the service did not meet my expectations during my recent visit. My family frequently places pickup orders through DoorDash (not delivery), and we typically bring cash to purchase extra hot sauce to complement the chicken.

On Sunday, I went to pick up our order and brought cash with the intention of purchasing additional hot sauce. The manager assisted me, and I politely asked if I could buy more hot sauce, showing that I had cash on hand and was prepared to pay for it. Since I am fluent in both English and Spanish, there was no issue with communication.

The manager gave me two packets of hot sauce for free, which I appreciated. However, I explained that i have plenty of people at home that would likely want more hot sauce and asked again if I could purchase additional packets, clearly showing that I had cash ready. The manager responded by saying, "It is busy, and I have no time."

Having worked in the restaurant industry for over six years, I found this response unprofessional. I would never tell a customer that I was too busy to serve them. While the food here remains excellent, quality service is just as important, and I felt disrespected—especially coming from...

My go to location for Peruvian Cuisine. I have been coming to this establishment for years. I love Peruvian food. The staff is always friendly and provides good service. I always order un pollo entero con papas y ensalada. However, what I don't like is how the price has gone up for the food, especially this item. I remember when un pollo entero cost only $17 and it was much bigger. Now it's $25 and smaller. I sometimes order an appetizer such as salchipapa or chicharron de pescada. What I really dislike is that they are now charging for to go containers for leftovers. At least the fountain drink is a reasonable price now. And they also include tip in your bill which could either be a good or bad thing for customers. I don't like when there is live entertainment as the singer and music is extremely loud and I can't hear the staff, family, or myself talk. The music also isn't my taste so I always avoid going when there will be live entertainment for a...

Haven’t been here in awhile so figured I’d give an updated review. Had to find parking in their additional lot across the street. Restaurant wasn’t packed so we were able to seat ourselves quick. They have music playing but also have tvs on. They have updated to digital menus. They bring the sauces right at the start for the table. The server was great, very patient, and attentive. We ordered one drink, calamari, ceviche, and whole chicken with fries and comes with a salad. Calamari was really good. The chicken was tasty. The ceviche was also good and despite it being later in the day it tasted fresh. The drink was also good. Chicha was good. The fees in this place add up quick. They automatically add 18% gratuity to every check. They also add a service fee. Was the drink worth 20?! I mean it was decent but that pricing is crazy! 😩 Food was good but just be ready to pay. I’ve said it before Peruvian food can be expensive.

I generally do not have any complaints about this place! I usually go here to dinner with my family and friends which is why I placed a big order of chaufa for Father’s Day. I as per usual ordered more than enough so I stored the remaining rice in the fridge for the following day. The rice went completely bad so I had to throw all of it away, I called and instead of at minimum being apologetic about the situation Management was accusatory! I am very disappointed at how this was handled. it’s not about the money, it was more informational for them and just a fyi because it is disappointing not having been able to enjoy the food the next day.

Think again before ordering takeout from here. I ordered $70 worth of food, only for it to spill all over my pants while walking out of the restaurant. I then went back inside to request another bag and the employee couldn’t care less when I showed her the stain on my pants. The food was also very mediocre and not worth the issues I experienced. If you decide to try this place out, do yourself a favor and dine in.
