I really hope this company is just getting their bearings because it is an environment of easy fixes that lead to a disappointing evening. Honestly, worst restaurant experience I've had in the upper valley. Walk in it's seat yourself, cute, very clean. We grab menus from a table as although we have been greated by a manager and bartender none are given. Small, underwhelming menu. The food has to be ordered from the kitchen by the guest with a separate tab from the bar, confusing why they have 2 bartenders but no servers as the bar tenders seemed to be anxious for things to do. As we order food we are told to wait for it as they don't have time to bring it and they are out of specials. It's 7 on a Saturday and there are only 3 tables and the bar has 4 couples and a single. The food was thrown together, okay if you ignore the tortillas that fall apart. Then we had to grab our own plates, napkins, and what not from a self serve table. While eating the maybe 13 year old buser asked if we needed our plates cleared twice. At no point did I feel relaxed and able to enjoy the food. We got two drinks and two regular tacos, for $50 that would be okay prices for Woodstock if we could have at least relaxed. I hate to speak rude about a local business but I was so...
Read moreVery nice feel, like sweet community. I came because of the bluegrass jam, which seems a beginner-friendly intermediate level mixed music (lots of rock). And there's a bass, which is grand!! (I didn't bring my fiddle for the snowboarding trip, alas.) Also one of the few places open on a Monday. The food, unfortunately, is like at a ski lodge: expensive, fatty, and very limited in scope. Only one salad. Watch out for the quantity of bacon on the mac and cheese: it's like 1/2 a pound! I'd prefer to pay half the price for the topping, and have half the bacon added (maybe management will consider this?). The chicken sandwich was a factory-made patty. They do have some nice non-alcoholic non-sugared seltzer drinks.
It was def worth coming for the friendly atmosphere and music (and they have live music frequently, according to their chalk board), but it'd be nice if they upped the food...
Read moreWent in alone for Mothers Day, kids are coming home next week, didn’t feel like cooking. Never been here before wanted to check it out. Food was over priced for what you get. Fish & Chips is four highly battered frozen fish sticks for $18. Bartender told me my beer was $9.99 and showed me on a computerized pad, like something you swipe a card on.I looked confused and wanted to pay cash handing her a $10. Her comment to my confusion was “do you want the penny back!” I thought they may not take cash. Well needless to say, I left her $3.00 - should have left the penny…that she didn’t give back! Won’t be back, plenty of other better places to eat and get treated...
