Went in to get my phone headphone jack repaired, the employee 'jay' told me on the phone and in person that it would be 49.99 which I agreed to. He asked if he should take a look at my charging port because it was damaged, I said yeah you can look at it but I only have enough money for my headphone jack. Once I dropped my phone off he made "other repairs" on my phone that I never asked for. I specifically told him I couldn't afford the total repairs as I only had 54 dollars in my account but thank you anyway thinking he would just take them off. He did this all without my consent and yet continued to lie about it for the longest time saying "well, you needed it fixed anyway". He told me to just hand him the card and that the total was 53 dollars still. I handed it to him and signed the receipt. Big mistake. After getting home I realize he charged me 105 dollars without ever telling me. After calling him back the next day he acted really suspicious and kept dodging my phone calls. Finally I got him on the phone and he got aggressive with me and started using foul language and things got out of control. To make things worse he wrote a fake review for his company on my phone while repairing it and told me that by "giving him my phone password" I was authorizing it. What a scam. They also conveniently don't do refunds. He said out of "courtesy" he would take the part back out of my phone and give me a partial refund. Why would I trust him to open up my phone again??? I refused of course. I don't trust this company anymore...
Read moreWorst customer service ever. Showed up at 10:30 when they were supposed to open. The ONLY person working there didn't even show up until almost 11:00(by then there were multiple people waiting). I was the first person in line. I explain to him what's wrong with the charging port on my phone and he tells me the price and tells me it will be about an hour. I tell him no problem, I'll go walk around the store and wait. I go back a little over an hour later and he is working on the phone of the person that was behind me in line and hadn't even touched my phone yet. I got my phone back from him and left. I ended up going to UBreakIFix in Towne Lake. Not only were they going to be cheaper to replace the charging port but they also told me that it could possibly just need a good cleaning inside the charging port. Sure enough the charging port just needed to be cleaned. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Cellaris didn't even offer that as a solution, just a replacement charging port. I will be taking all of my electronics to UBreakIFix from now on. Cellaris wasted almost 2...
Read moreOverall the process was great. They fixed the my broken screen for my iphone XR, and did so in 30 minutes. The only thing keeping from 5 stars is that after fixing, my face recognition no longer worked (so I'm back to typing in passwords to unlock). They told me this is a common problem for XR. I wish they would have notified me upfront, so that I could assess the cost/benefit of buying a new phone. Overall I'm happy, but wished they would have been more up front with the risks associated with my phone.
Edit: thank you for the quick response. The phone had no other prior repairs, as I’m not sure of the lcd response you are referring to. I understand that there was legal documentation I signed but I’m looking to your staff as advisors on whether a phone has internal damage before I decide to pay for your service. Since posting this message my phone has had issues with randomly not accepting input until I lock and unlock again. It’s not bad enough to be worth bringing back in but it is a disappointing defect. Dropping...
