Tuscany Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Woodstock

Wonderful evening with friends and fabulous food! The owner was eager to accommodate any special requests, such as our seating preference. No problem and service with a genuine smile.

Our server was great, and a trooper even in the rain (see more about that below). It was 7pm and I asked for decaf coffee, no worries whatsoever and they even brewed a fresh pot (it was excellent).

We had their scallop special and it was awesome! Perfectly cooked and presented, and bursting with flavor (my photo does not capture the succulent quality). Scallops must be fresh and cooked properly and Tuscany nailed it! The special was reasonably priced at $35– included salad and garlic rolls. Our husbands ordered from the menu ($18-25/entree) and were equally pleased with the taste and quality (generous portions). Salad was fresh and the calamari is one of our favs.

Despite the rain, we chose to eat outside because we had an immuno-comprised person; and CoVid is real y’all. I reached out to the owner, Malek, via Facebook in advance to let him know about our needs. He responded quickly and was very helpful explaining to the staff why we wanted to eat outside though it was raining; and our server confirmed several times if we were okay outside when the rain picked up. Excellent communication and warm-fuzzy feelings. That was considerate and thoughtful. They have umbrellas at each table but no overhead covering on patio so if it’s raining and you don’t want to be...a little moist...sit inside. Hey Malek, have you considered add some sails on the patio like Pure for extra coverage (sun or rain)?? It would open up the patio to enjoy (even in rainy days) and give more dining options for those who aren’t comfortable sitting inside a restaurant quite yet.

Now, about dessert...my favorite course!! See photo, nom! A few days prior I had popped-in to grab two pieces of tiramisu as a special birthday treat for a loved one. I called ahead and it was ready upon arrival; and also very yummy! When the owner saw me come in he said, “wait, I want you to try out special limoncello cake too on the house.” Okay! Later that evening when I finally tried it, WOW!! So, when we were having date night I knew I needed to check out other desserts...they’re made in-house not from a box or food distributor. As soon as the server said fresh strawberry cake (and said it was similar to the limoncello) I snapped up the chance to try it; despite my guests being skeptical. Everyone agreed hands down they would have never ordered it themselves BUT it was the best strawberry cake they’d had.

Cake and decaf completed the night and we all left smiling and stuffed!

I’ve missed this place, it’s easy to forget about it up in the hill in townelake near the (currently closed) movie theater. The views are the best in Woodstock, the menu is expansive and our service was exceptional.

Locals, I encourage you to support our locally owned and operated Italian gem...townelake/woodstock needs more places like this (and less corporate franchises). Help them survive CoVid, please. Indoor, outdoor or on-line...all of those options are available to...

🍝 The menu at Tuscany is a testament to the rich flavors and traditional techniques of Italian cooking. We savored the tender Gnocchi with chicken, and the perfectly cooked steak paired with al dente pasta, each dish crafted to culinary perfection.

🍷 The Primitivo wine, a personal favorite of both my wife and me, complemented our meal beautifully with its robust and inviting flavors, embodying the essence of Italy in each sip.

🍮 No meal at Tuscany would be complete without indulging in their desserts. The tiramisu, a true test of any Italian restaurant, was exquisite—fluffy, creamy, and just the right touch.

☕️ Scoring a perfect 100 in our books. Paired with a rich, aromatic espresso, it was the ideal finale to our dining adventure.

Attended a wedding party supper there. My family, who lives in the area, have been patrons of the establishment for years. This was my first visit. I was excited to experience all that it had to offer, in terms of ambiance, food & personnel, given how much I had heard about it, favorably, for such a long time.

Wanted, specifically, to try the veal, eggplant, meatballs & sausage (the 4 reasons that I go into an Italian restaurant, as no ethnic group does it better). At the urging of my family, I expressed this foodie desire to the waiter, Luciano (the real deal from Naples), who took up the challenge back to the kitchen. After a time, the owner / chef, Malek, himself, placed this delectable dish before me (see pic), that he personally created & prepared especially for me, incorporating all of my desired meat & vegetable choices. No idea what additional seasonings he incorporated, nor what the sauce was; but, it all translated into sin-sational.

I won't tell you what I said upon 1st bite, as this is a G-Rated platform; but, needless to say, I was very vocally expressive & quite profanely descriptive in explaining what the taste was like.
