We have never been to Woodward before and called to ask how long the wait was. The girl answering the phone was told by the server Tina to have us sit in her section. We ordered rib dinner, philly dinner, kids catfish plate, kids corn dog plate. Everyone got there food and the portions were huge. Prices weren't too bad. My wife said her Philly was nasty. She couldn't eat it. So she ate the fries and went to the bathroom. Our server came by and ask how everything was. I told her that there must have been something wrong with the sandwich and that my wife wouldn't eat it. Tina ask where my wife had went and proceeded to go next to the restroom to ask my wife what other food she would like. They brought her a whole chicken tender plate including fries and new roll. Our service was good when she was there. We didn't want for any extra drinks or anything so that was a plus. She did disappear for a little while. We don't know the story for that but service was good. Food was...

About 2.5 years ago we ordered over the phone and picked up at the drive thru window. Drove the 8-10 minutes home and opened the tray to notice the brisket was grayish colored. It was tough and had little to no flavor. Called the manager and told them and was basically told 'it was fine when it left here.' So I hadn't bothered to order or visit again.

So the other day a buddy from out of town texted that he and his family would be in town briefly and wanted to know if we'd like to meet at Waggs. I figured it's been long enough, we'll give it another try. I ordered the 3 meat sampler with ribs, hot link, and the brisket and my friends wife also ordered the brisket platter. BOTH our portions of brisket were again gray in color. The 2 bites I took were again tough and had very little flavor. The ribs were ok. The hot link was actually very very good. But in area with several top notch BBQ joints Waggs is woefully lacking and over priced for BBQ that is...

I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and salad bar. The salad bar comes with many of the meals here.

The chicken fry was large, crispy breading and was almost fork tender. I took half of it home! The mashed potatoes were good, nothing special and nothing bad to say. The green beans were completely unseasoned, and I wouldn't order them again. Their salad bar had a mixture of iceberg lettuce with the darker green lettuces, and was crispy. There was an assortment of other salads such as potato salad and pea salad, several dressings as well as tomatoes, etc. Wag's also has a salsa bar, but I didn't have room to try that!

I will eat there again, I just really did not like the green beans. I noticed they had grilled corn on the cob as a side, so I will probably get that next time. The meal actually comes with slaw as the side, but if you're like me and don't love slaw, you can choose...

In town for work - was craving BBQ and had the option of Wagg’s and another place. Wagg’s was a good choice. The four of us all enjoyed our meals; burger and fries, Thursday’s noon special (sliced sausage), brisket sandwich, and pork sandwich with okra. My pork sandwich (I don’t remember what exactly it was called) had lots of meat on a sesame bun. Pretty good! I added a lot of BBQ sauce and got some ranch to dip it in. This ranch was some of the best ranch I’ve ever had at any dining establishment. I recommend it! If you’re in town and are craving BBQ, I’d recommend Wagg’s Bar-B-Q.

We stopped in for supper as we passed through Woodward. I ordered the three meat combo with sausage, hot link, and chopped brisket, with beans and mashed potatoes as sides. Mrs. Flip Out had the smoked chicken dinner and Little Flip Out had a kids corn dog dinner. Mrs. Flip Out and I also tried the salad and pickle bar which was good. Our server, who was older, spent more time visiting other tables or in the back, and it was really difficult to get her attention. On previous visits, this wasn’t an issue.

Nice atmosphere, western styling with friendly service. They have TVs up for sports. We had 2 orders of their 3 meat combo; Brisket was very dry and bland, ribs weren’t dry but not much flavor on’em either; but their sausage was pretty good though. Mac n cheese is not homemade, it’s more like a water downed Krafts Mac n cheese. Not a huge selection on their salad bar, but good.
