Ocean Cafe — Restaurant in Woonsocket

I want to share an unforgettable experience my mom had today at Ocean Cafe, and give a huge thank you to the new owners who truly went above and beyond for our family.

Today was my grandmother’s celebration of life. We had about 60 guests gathered, and the food we originally ordered from another restaurant was over an hour late—with no updates and no idea if it was even coming. My mom was under a lot of pressure and trying to hold everything together when she decided to stop by Ocean Cafe as a last-minute backup.

The new owners of Ocean Cafe welcomed her with open arms. With no advance notice, they managed to prepare a full spread of delicious food in just 40 minutes. Not only that, but they were incredibly kind and compassionate during such an emotional time. They even helped load everything into the car without hesitation.

Thanks to them, we were able to feed all of our guests and continue the service with peace of mind. The food was amazing, the service was even better, and their support made such a difference during a stressful and meaningful day.

My mom is beyond grateful and plans to tell everyone she knows about Ocean Cafe and the incredible experience she had with the new owners. Thank you for helping us when we needed it most—you truly saved the day.

I saw a lot of great reviews on this place so we stopped in. I was disappointed. It is 9.00 a plate and empanadas are sold separately at 2.50 a piece. The woman served me rice a large portion , 2 meatballs and 2 ribs. Then I purchased the empanadas separately. So here is my review. Rice is cheap dont fill my plate with it! Meatballs are frozen from the grocery store with a sauce that is bland. Ribs were beef no meat sauce mild. Mind you there is 10 other things on there everyone was given a choice that was Spanish we were the only non Hispanic people in there and did not get and option. I was rushed and cashed out. I would not go back any time soon. I love all Hispanic food we love to travel so I am diverse in my eating. GOOD FOOD, BUT BAD SERVICE! Staff is rude!!! Was there a few days ago. While I waited in line to be assisted, I heard and understood what they were saying about other customers there in Spanish. The owners, specially the guy, is so unpleasant. A few people wanted to wait for fresh food to come out as the trays were almost empty, and he to upset at them and gave the attitude. He even yelled at his wife serving the food in front of us. Others had to ask for their beans because I found out that the order comes with them, but if you dont ask, they won't offer them to you.
