I love how fresh the seafood is at Bay Lobsters Café & Fish Market. My family especially enjoys having them prepare tilapia deep fried with their special house seasoning. It’s also good grilled with Cajun seasoning when I’m in the mood for something a little different. The staff is friendly and super helpful. They’re willing to prepare whatever seafood I purchase with whichever seasoning I want (house seasoning, Cajun grilled or blackened). Or I can purchase the seafood I want and prepare it myself. When I have them prepare a meal for me, I also enjoy getting their fried okra. If you want fresh seafood, this is the place to go. It may be a little more expensive than in regular grocery stores in the area, but the freshness and the variety of selection makes it well worth the price!

When you 1st walk in you might think that it's a fish market only .. yes, they are a fish and seafood market .. but they are also a restaurant that offers dine-in (they have about 7 small tables) and carry-out service .. we ate there, and everything we got was delicious .. fried fish, fried shrimp, fries, tots, coleslaw, and my personal favorite oysters on the half shell .. prices were very reasonable .. the staff was great .. I'm looking forward to going back ..

First visit. I had the fish and chips with a small bowl of lobster bisque. The bisque was a house recipe and was very good. He uses a little bit of tabasco sauce which gives it a subtle heat. The fish was done perfectly with a nice crisp breading, the coleslaw was a typical slaw but very good, the hush puppies were spot on, and the thick and wide spiral cut beer batter chips were unique and well prepared.

Visited for the first time today... Won't be the last. From the second we walked in the door, we were pleasantly surprised. We've been in many fish market in the past and they all have 2 things in common; they look a little dingy, and they stink. BayLobster's is neither of those. The place smelled like perfectly fresh seafood, it was bright and clean, and the prices were very reasonable. The people working inside were very friendly and helpful. So.. We took home some walleye, clam strips, clam chowder, crab cakes, seafood cakes (look the same as the crab cakes but with scallops and shrimp instead.) That was enough for now, but let me tell you their other fish looked incredible... Especially the perch. We decided to get order the sampler platter to eat outside. It had cod, shrimp, and fried oysters. I mean... That was awesome. The wife said it's the best piece of fish she'd had in a long time even. This is a bit of a drive for us, but they gave us ice to throw in the cooler and sealed the deal with us today. We have a new fish monger and will be making this trip a lot...

This was the 1st time I've eaten here. Being from the East coast, I'm ALWAYS on the hunt for tasty, authentic seafood here in ohio. We tried the fish & chips (which comes with 3 hushpuhush, coleslaw and twisty thick cut chips) a small lobster bisque and a small clam chowder which came to around $22.

Both soups we're EXTREMELY salty! The flavor of the chowder was ok, but due to the amount of salt in both soups, they we're inedible. The coleslaw was bland and salty with a slight bitterness. The chips (aka french fries) we're fine, but how can one mess that up? The hush puppies were very dense. The flavor was ok. The cod was panko crusted, which is nice, but they gave no lemon with the fish. The crust on the fish was VERY under seasoned and bland, but the tarter sauce tasted nice.

Overall, for me, this was a miss. I will not be ordering from them again.

I don't feel the food was properly seasoned.

Soups & slaw were so salty, they were inedible, the hush puppies were too dense, the 5 pieces of fries we're ok, the fish itself was under seasoned, the...
