Green Leaf Restaurant — Restaurant in Wooster

I really wanted to like everything more than I did, but considering the layout, and the mid-century feeling of nostalgia, I was left with a feeling of inadequacy by meals end.

The service was very nice, nothing fancy and nothing that stood out as exceptional. But the server was upbeat and happy and very welcoming and eager to satisfy. No introduction though, no specials, not the best service experience but definitely 1 star above adequate.

The food was not great, it had some good things but also some bad. The chili? Horrible. Basically meat water, no salt, no flavor, nothing but a few beans in some red water with ground beef. I would 100% get a new recipe, or stop serving it altogether.

The coffee was actually quite nice

The philly cheese steak was adequate, the bun had a nice toasted feel and was soft, the meat, onion, pepper and cheese could have been better prepared however the taste was sufficient for the price. Peppers under cooked, onions were ok, beef was dry and the cheese was barely melted overtop the mess. Grease drippings from grill was all over the plate. Not sure if u can see in photo.

The chicken salad wrap was not great either. No chicken in the chicken salad? It was basically mayo with lettuce and tomato in a wrap. See pic.

Some minor improvements can go a long way w the food.

I like the layout and the old time feel of the place. Could be updated...

Wow! We ordered three of the special brisket and Mac and cheese to go... It took over a half hour, I'm pretty sure I saw the cooks in the back munching on corned beef during this time,They were definitely eating something with their hands while they were working, finally after about 40 minutes and the second inquiry I told them we would have to leave and I needed my money back the waitress checked again said it would be right ready I stood there and listened to the kitchen manager speak rudely to the staff and about how they had already messed up our order twice and they weren't going to fix it again as she was dumping food into to go off of plates using her hand to scrape it. There were five bites of corned beef maybe in each box I spent over$30. The wait staff was friendly or it would be an absolute zero. To be fair I'm posting pictures of all three boxes that we received again this was over $30 and for takeout during the lunch menu and this was their special The corned beef was dry to the mac and cheese was Velveeta so I mean nobody made it from scratch but it was good and there...

Ordered dinner at Green Leaf tonight, for two adults and two children. When we picked up our food we didn’t realize that one of our children’s dinners was missing from the order until we got home. This was after sitting 10 or more minutes waiting for our order (only 2 cars present at drive in so restaurant was not busy for a Wednesday night). Food was delivered to our car and no change was brought back, we were planning on tipping however it was in poor taste to just keep the entire about of money. After realizing we had a missing dinner and we do not live in Wooster, we had to drive all the way back for the missing dinner which was all we were offered. I’m just rather disappointed in the service and food. Perhaps better attention to detail and staff training would resolve any customer service issues in the future. This was not the Green...
