Hot Table — Restaurant in Worcester

This was my first visit to Hot Table. I needed to grab a quick sandwich on my way home from an appointment. It was nearing 2pm on a Tuesday, so I thought the lunch crowd would be over. I was correct. There was nobody in front of me when I approached to place my order. The staff was very friendly as I entered the building. I was greeted by several different employees.

I ordered the Large Black & Blue Panini. The person adding the meat and veggies to my sandwich must have been a newer employee. A more seasoned worked had to tell her what was on the Black & Blue (shaved steak, mayo, American cheese, crumbled blue cheese, and crispy onions). I asked her to add pickles, tomatoes, and hot peppers. She also seemed confused about which peppers to grab. She was friendly and did a decent job in the end. The person checking me out was also very nice.

If looking for a quick sandwich pick up in the future, I would visit again and try another panini. Mostly that is due to the friendly staff over being blown away by the food. I will also load more veggies on my sandwich next time around. In comparing my sandwich to an order I placed at Ziggy Bombs a few months ago, I would definitely choose Hot Table over Ziggy Bombs. I felt like the dinning area and prep area seemed much cleaner here than there. These are probably not the best sandwich places to compare and contrast, but I felt better after this shaved steak and cheese sandwich than my one Ziggy...

This Review Was Written Friday August 02 At 3pm. While Doing Errands My Wife And I Came Upon This Restaurant! We Grabbed A Menu. We Have A Check System! First! We Check Out Restaurant To Make Sure It Is Clean Along With Rest Rooms Yes! They Were! Secondly, Is The Wait Staff Professional Polite And Clean! Yes! They Were! Are They Knowledgeable About The Food Product They Are Serving! Yes! They Were! Being A Fan Of The Show " Chop " On The " Food Network " Three Areas: Presentation, Creativity And Taste! I Had The Classic Veggie, Lite On The Pesto Mayo. And My Wife Had The Turkey. The Panni Was Perfectly Toasted! The Veggies Were Fresh And Crispy! The Turkey Was Fresh And Tasty! I’ve given this place more than one chance, but unfortunately, the service has been consistently disappointing.

The first time I ordered, I paid extra for a side of chicken that was never delivered. When I called to let them know, they told me they were closing and I could come by the next day to pick it up. Not ideal, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

Today, I went in person and placed a very simple order: the Santa Fe Veggie with no onions. Not only did they include onions — they seemed to load it up with more onions than anything else. I tried calling them for half an hour to fix the issue, but every call went straight to voicemail.
