I have been scrolling past this place on delivery sites for a while because the menu mostly is sandwiches. I wanted to try their food in person while it’s hot and see exactly what they have to offer. Today I got lucky enough to be in the area for a meeting, after I finished I decided to stop in for lunch. My first impressions walking in... I seen a host and several people walking around and a bunch at the bar. Which immediately made me feel they obviously get a decent amount of business, the host however wasn’t as friendly as I expected. None the less she brought me to my table in the back and I waited for my waitress to serve me. I noticed how spacious the place was and how even though it was very modern the vibe old school pub. Let’s get to the food... so my waitress was bubbly and kind, I asked her to tell me the best selling drinks, she gave me two options I chose the Eiffel Tower, the drink you see in the pictures... it was pretty bitter and strong for my taste. Had a slight flair of flavor and sweetness, but barely. I had to order a ginger ale before I left just to add to it to make it bearable to gulp down... now for the entree.. I asked again for the most popular burgers, she gave me three choices and two had pickles which I don’t like but I didn’t wanna alter my burger so I chose the Phenomenal Burger. It was medium rare, even though I asked for well done... it was still edible and tasty, the bun was fresh, the egg oozed and didn’t over power the burger, the sauce was barely noticeable and the rest of the items on the burger were pretty crunchy and tasty, my only suggestion would be to ask for a bit more sauce as it can bring a bit more punch to the burger and moisten it. The fries that come with, were a bit hard for my taste but none the less I ate them. For dessert I did the same thing asked for the popular items, was given two choices and picked Chocolate Spring Rolls, they were absolutely amazing... so warm and moist, the dipping items they give you were fresh and just a delightful mix. My favorite item was the dessert, my least favorite was the drink.., and the restaurant environment was very chill, my waitress was awesome... the host I coulda did without. My meal total was 32$ which isn’t bad, I suggest...
Read moreWell, like they say at the races: "The Fix is on!" Fire more like it! If I'm being honest, I'm not really a burger guy. And if I'm being extra honest, I had concerns going into this place.
"What if they don't have egg??" I think to myself....
....WELL GUESS WHAT MYSELF?? Not only am I going to be changing my opinion of what type of guy I am, but while looking at this gorgeous menu, what do I see?? For a mere 200 cents you can get an whole egg and they will cook it! There are also many other things you can purchase for just cents. Please keep in mind that cents can add up to dollars, but the staff is very good at pointing out everytime you've reached a new dollars amount!
Speaking of staff! Next level! I asked one man (he worked there) who had just recently grown hair if he had anything he wanted to add to my review. He said "No", but smiled when he did it. So cool. 😎
I got a burger with no egg (it's just nice to know you can get it). At first I thought the chef was mad at me for not getting one. But I was assured that the knife was meant to hold the burger together, so I dove in with my mouth and hands. J-U-I-C-Y!! Also my friend were orange!!
There are fried circles and cups of yellowish with brown spots. You can get water and a lime. Separately!
Fun fact! The lime and/or water are free!
They have booths here too! But not just regular. I literally sat in one with somebody and could still see outside.
When we were leaving. I didn't know what to do. We still had food! But the staff was like "would you like a box?" I, scoffingly, was like "yeah sure...you have three boxes and a bag you can just give to me". Now I promise I'm not making this up, BUT THEY DID! And let me tell you. The boxes are big enough and they stack easy and you can bring them outside with no hassle!
So once again! Get your floppy hats and horse cards out, cause the Fix is On!
Also! I noticed that some of you out here are curious where you know me from. I'll clear the air on that right now! More than likely you know me because I am Emily's brother.
PS They're hours are available if you type "the Fix Worcester hours of...
Read moreThis was our first visit to the Fix. We had a reservation and was seated immediately. We were given the worst table in the the restaurant. (The one in the middle right up against the pole, under the 3 air conditioner blowers.) My wife was shivering. It took about 10 minutes for someone to notice us at one of their tables, and as soon as she came over we asked to be moved. We were immediately moved to upstairs and reassigned to a new server.
My wife ordered some pretzel appetizers. They came about in about 10-15 minutes. My first bite was SO SALTY that I wasn't going to eat anymore. My wife had actually started picking the salt off the pretzel (she was more stubborn.) Fortunately the server came and asked us how it was, and if they ask, we have to answer right? So we told her. She took them away, and about 5-6 minutes later brought out a replacement. The replacements still had salt, but definitely were an improvement. My wife continued to pick the salt off, but I ate them as is.
I ordered the special Burger. I really don't remember what it was, and it had no taste to me. The burger was not too tall, it fit in my mouth fine. The burger was cooked to order, and did not drip when I was eating it. So from an assembly point of view it was Excellent. The onion rings were good. The burger however, had no taste. It might be my tasting sensors will still on overload from the super salty pretzels, so disclaimer the no taste may have been situational to our visit.
The ice tea I ordered seemed it was brewed in a coffee machine, as it tasted like coffee, but my wife says that is the norm in restaurants. Tea drinkers know however. Just like non-smokers know when they are talking to a smoker.
So the ratings: Kitchen: a little slow, but adequate Presentation: Excellent Assembly: Excellent Food: Tasteless Service: Good to Slow. (First person was slow, second...
