There's an old abandoned speakeasy in the basement that no one is allowed to see. She loved the place so much that she was upset during the COVID shutdowns, and would still walk me down there and sit on the stoop waiting for me to open the door! The place has significantly changed since reopening, and is no longer the dive bar with cheap drinks and dollar drafts that it used to be.
