This is the second time my girlfriend and I have come here. The first time we came about a month ago we had a great experience. Decent portions and food was cooked well, waitstaff was attentive. This time was the polar opposite… I was beyond disappointed. We were spoken to twice, to get drinks and to order food. Beyond that we weren’t spoken to until I had to interrupt the cleaning which was obviously much more important. I mean I get it, once your cut you want to go home, but literally cleaned the entire time we had the meal, with 3 empty cups. I could understand if it was busy or you were short staffed, but there were 4 tables in the entire restaurant and the staff was more concerned with a man who sneaked out with one of their hats. One of the waitress/bartenders was having her self a concert singing instead of helping guests. Not our waitress but I still didn’t expect a dinner AND a show. The food was less than appealing. The sour cream burrito was underwhelming, partially due to the 3 tiny pieces of steak, the crema which it is covered in had split (curdled), and essentially looked like a old babies diaper. The carne asada we have to admit tasted nice and was the only thing that was fresh. It was very obvious the food sat in the window for much too long; the rice was hard, the retried beans had a nice skin and everything was piping hot. I mean microwaved for 5 minutes hot… all and all it wasn’t great. Not to mention the bartender called the girl at the end of the bar who didn’t understand spanish a gringa. I mean😳, girl not in 2021 do you get away with that haha. Don’t really think we...
Read moreAfter working an event all weekend, my husband and I chose to eat at Toritas’ Worcester, as we had eaten at Texas Roadhouse the previous night. While the food was good as well as the service, the lack of class and professionalism fails with an F-!!! After we paid the $92 something check, we left a cash tip on the table and we were still in deep conversation and drinking our Margaritas when another staff member came over and opened the check and asked if there was anything wrong as we didn’t leave a tip. Wait. What??? We we’re so shocked and I showed her the two $10 bills (more than 20%) and as she took them she casually apologized, walked away to the Hostess station and continued to talk to the staff. Wait. “Did that just happen?” My husband asked. I have been in the Food and Hospitality business and I would NEVER let ANY staff do this. It’s not ok to approach a paying customer to ask for money. Not ever! As I read through these reviews, I have seen that this has happened before. I would be more gracious with those forgiving gift certificates if I were you instead of asking for tips. What if I had been a...
Read moreWe moved to Massachusetts in June 2022 from Tennessee. We have been disappointed time and time again with the Mexican restaurants in New England. We decided to give Torito a try for date night. Unbelievable! Upon seating, we were presented with chips, salsa, and Bean dip!! Holy moly!! We had never experienced this at a Mexican restaurant.....so we ordered a pitcher of house margaritas. I can't even begin to describe how good these house margaritas were with the chips, bean dip, and salsa. Also, the salsa is thinner as opposed to the thicker varieties you see in New England. My wife ordered a taco salad ( looked like a huge taco) and I ordered a loco burrito (loaded with shredded chicken and chorizo). The meat was carefully seasoned and tasted delicious on both entrees, something that is lacking around New England. The queso was spot on. It was white and flavorful...again something New England needs to notice!! I could go on and on but I think you get the point. This place is the bees knees!!!!! You heard it...
