Blueberry Hill Oak Lawn — Restaurant in Worth Township

I was invited my lovely friend for breakfast. I picked blueberry hill cafe in oak lawn because she lives close to there. I used go to BHC in Lagrange occasionally because I live close there. But I aware that food was little expensive, I didn’t mind it. So we ordered our breakfast, our food was good and ok. But her pancakes with homemade berries sauce was too bitter than sweet. Our server was doing ok but it little annoyed because she kept come and check up on us but we were literally done our meals. We wanted to sit and relax for chatting and catching up our news. So I let hostess to take my debt card so we could enjoy our stay time. Somehow she gave me receipt and debit card back I realised that I was overcharged then amounts on my bill. But it didn’t come tip included, lady asked me to pay another nearly $4 as balance remaining. She said that my bank wasn’t update but I had enough money in my balance. But I requested her to refund money and cancel transactions then use other card she charged me and reduced than amounts on bill. I decided not give them tips because it ruined our morning enjoy I wanted to make my lovely friend feel special on morning time. But it our first and last , I would take her to Denny’s next time. My wife and her friend had one of the worst dining experiences on 09/30/2025 at Blueberry Hill Cafe. They specifically ordered vegetarian plates, only to discover mid way through eating that they were served pork meat mixed in. For anyone who is vegetarian or avoids pork for personal, religious, or health reasons, this is not just a small mistake—it’s a complete betrayal of trust.

When they brought this to the staff’s attention, instead of an apology and accountability, they were told that this “keeps happening” because everything is cooked on the same grill. Outrageous! If the restaurant already knows this is a recurring issue, why would they continue serving dishes labeled as vegetarian at all? It is completely misleading and careless.

To make matters worse, the only solution offered was a discount—as though a few dollars off the bill could possibly make up for the complete disregard of their dietary needs. This is insulting and unacceptable.

You come here for the Baked Blueberry French Toast !!! I absolutely love it !! The blueberry’s are baked into the batter and it tastes soooo fresh I also added whip cream on top . The blueberries are allways sooo fresh and yummy ! Got scrambled eggs with sausage and potato pancakes which is also another one of my favs here pares very well with sour cream . I did take my food to go this time but I have ate inside before and everytime I did I had great service .
