Buona — Restaurant in Worth Township

I have been to Buona's a few times before, but had forgotten to to write a review. Well, today is that day...as my wife or I did not want to cook, we decided on Buona's since it had been a while. This time, though, I ordered online delivery rather than go pick it up as I normally do.

I ordered the Cheesy Cheddar Beef, fries, and the Buona Beef Bites. My wife had the Avocado Pepper Jack Burger and some fries, also. We both also ordered a bottle of tea as well.

For the food itself, we both felt that there were hits and misses. My wife let me know that her Avocado Pepper Jack Burger was good, but she said the burger could have used more seasoning. For me, the Cheesy Cheddar Beef was good, but I did not ask for it to be 'baptized', as I am not a fan of overly soggy bread. Thus, the sandwich was good, but could have been better because I think the soggy bread overpowered the taste of the beef. Also, there was way more cheese sauce than actual cheese...that ratio needs to be more cheese than sauce.

The fries were pretty good, then the Buona Beef Bites were quite addictive. They're pretty much fried rice balls with beef and giardiniera stuffed inside, with marinara dipping sauce. I mean, I almost wish I had a few orders of that instead, they were that good.

Finally, we both were disappointed that we received bottles of unsweetened tea...when the menu clearly said bottled tea and did not note that they were unsweetened. There needs to be a clear choice for whether customers want sweet tea or not.

Overall, I am not sure that the food warranted the prices...and there are minor improvements that could be made to enhance the customer experience. I like the place, though, so I'll likely be back at some point.

I had the BBQ Ribs, which were very much over cooked. I thought I was eating pulled pork, the way they fell off the bone. Not very impressed with the them, it was my first and last time eating Ribs from Buona, I would not recommend them because of the poor cooking quality, which surprises me because they do a very good job with all their other food items. I also wanted to mention they need to improve on there customer service. I called this location to pre-order the Ribs, because I know it would take longer to cook (There pre-cooked, and rewarmed- NOT FRESH QUALITY FOOD), and it was like I was making a special request for an item, it took them 5 mins for me to hold on the phone for them to figure out, if I could pre-order them to eat there. Further more, I was told ok, and then arrived to find my order to go, after I specifically asked to eat there, although they offered to unpack the food, and re-plate it , I was more upset, that they lied to me, after they took my money. I spoke with the G.M., who really didn't impresses me, because he just kept stating that we don't take pre-orders to dine in, I explained that the waiting on Ribs is longer than any other food item, and that maybe they should think about that so customers can have them ready to eat, he didn't understand that it would probably increase sales and that customers would order more ribs, if they didn't have to wait as long, but as I noticed, there pre-cooked, and not the...

Place is clean, immaculately clean. Windows all around and high ceilings give the place a very relaxed feel. They have a couple of bar style tables to watch the games. If not couple of both tables and the rest are tables and chairs. They have drive thru, and yes you can even order in line or call in for p/u. The beefs are great. 3 sizes to chose from so pick one that fits. There are quite a few items on the menu. Choose wisely.

In all honesty some time my appetite gets the Better of me. Like I said the beefs are great. Believe me on that one. Huge mistake I made was ordering the ribs from there. All it took was once-never again. A thimble size cup of bbq sauce on the side. Ribs were overpowered with cumin and no real flavor. Sad. Any one tells you different probably thinks chef boyardee is real Italian food.

Don't go here and order a hamburger. You can go anywhere for that. You come here for a good beef. Have it drowned in the juice. Baptized as it's refered to. You can count on it getting a little messy. Then again it wouldn't be a beef.

Take a ride over there and try it for yourself. You'll definitely be glad you...
