Don't waste your time, your money or the energy it takes to get there to this place, seriously. There are far to many other restaurant around the Chicago Ridge Mall area to eat at. From the start it was apparent there was a problem with this restaurant. The table at the booth we sat at was filthy, it was sticky there was food crumbs and the booth seat. The menus were full of food, barbecue sauce and what ever else was stuck on them. The probaly have never taken the time to have someone wiped them down, Which is ridiculous in itself laminated menus should always be wiped off as part of your short work when rolling silverware, putting fresh ketchup bottles on the tables, filling salt and pepper shakers and so on. Anyone that has been in the restaurant business know what I'm speaking about it is just part of the job. My brother order the combo with ribs and chicken strips the ribs were over cooked and dried out, the chicken tenders were dark in color not a golden brown, the piece of corn on the cob looked as if it were dropped on the ground not visually appealing at all. I ordered a brisket burger with fries. It was terrible, the burger pattie was burnt, the barbecue sauce was as if was scrapped from the bottom of the pan. The fries tasted terrible as if the grease hadn't been cleaned of changed in the fryers for who knows how long. I ordered it with just barbecue sauce and pickles on it, when it was served it had cheese on it and no pickles. We had to ask the manager when he walked by to bring us the pickles and the extra barbecue sauce that they had forgot for my brothers order. When they served our water I asked for a few lemons because I don't drink soda very often, I waited for her to bring me a couple of lemon slices, and waited and waited finally she walked by our table and I said Miss. She responded oh yeah I'll bring you your diet coke, well they had already brought the diet coke for it was for my brother. I said no miss I would like my lemons, so she walked over the the condiment serving container on the bar and there were none. She walked in the back and came back with a large salsa type serving bowl that you are served when you get salsa and chips. She dumped the lemons in the condiment serving container on the bar took the tongs and grabbed two or three pieces of lemon and put them in the salsa dish and brought them to me. The dish had soggy broken tortilla chips and what appeared to be salsa left over in it. Meaningless to say I didn't use the lemons in my water. It wasn't a busy time of the day, and the waitress who also appeared to be the bartender was definitely frazzled as we watched her making drinks spilling mixes and alcohol all over the bar serving area. This CHILI'S definitely needs to have a manager reset and a staff briefing before they are the next one closing their doors. You might asked why we didn't just get up and leave, first off we waited almost 40 minutes from the time that we ordered our food until the time it was set in front of us we were hungry and we were watching so sporting events on the TV's talking. We were also there because it was where my brother wanted to go, he suffering from three large tumors on his lungs and is in treatment and it was a place that he and his wife used to visit before she passed away. I'm just writing this to help others, we work hard for what money we have and we should be able to enjoy it when we can. Wishing everyone all of God's Blessings...
Read moreThere is only one way to describe my visit ......DISAPPOINTING !!!! The service was fine it was the food that wasn't good, so much so that I had to ask the server was there a new cook in the kitchen ? I usually go to the Chili's at the 119th and Marshfield location and as of late it's the service that has been lacking there due to lack of staff (servers) but the food is ALWAYS prepared well in my experience. As of late dine in is a 2 hr or more wait and that's if the dining room doesn't close at 6 or 7. I will opt for To Go during these times and it is generally just as good except for dessert a Molten Lava To Go is not at all the same experience in the least. Today I wanted to sit in so I chose the Chicago Ridge location which is much further but had a 45 min. wait and immediate seating at the bar because I was a party of 1.
The server was great but the food ........ I chose to go with a 3 for $10 for lunch. I chose the Strawberry Lemonade, Chicken Enchilada Soup and the Original Chicken Crispers w/ fries and corn on the cob. The lemonade was so skimpy on the strawberry puree it was super pale pink and you couldn't see it taste much less taste the puree, the Chicken Enchilada soup was very watered down it dripped everywhere while I ate the already half full bowl ... it usually has a thicker consistency and there were hardly any cheese or tortilla strips on top making me think they were running out of supplies or super stretching the product.
When my food came out the Chicken Crispers were not golden fried or crisp and were super light colored, gummy and doughy......I sent them back asked for them to fried a bit longer, the server agreed they were not fried correctly. Next my corn on the Cob was hard nearly raw and unbuttered, this prompted me to ask is there a new cook because my food was very inconsistent in how I am used to recieving it. It was confirmed by the server that there was a new cook. In the hope of not causing issue, I just left well enough alone and ordered a To Go of the exact order to take home. I am glad I opened the box before I left because I got the same nearly raw Chicken Crispers again !!!!! I sent them back and the cook must have been offended or upset by this because I only recieved 3 of the smallest pieces of Chicken when you usually recieve 4 to 5 pieces of various sizes. I'm scared to use the honey mustard included and will not because I don't trust what might have been included because I sent food back twice. I might seriously think more than twice before driving to this location again to quench my Chilis craving because I was left feeling cheated and unsatisfied in more than one way. I am just...
Read moreWe have lived in the Oak Lawn area for approximately 10 years now and have frequented the Chili's restaurant in Chicago Ridge several times even twice in a week on some occasions. But on this specific Sunday (7-25-21), we arrived at the establishment at approximately 8:30 pm and were greeted at the door by the host who instantly informed us they are no longer accepting anymore dine in customers at this time. We were very surprised to hear this but were understanding and started to make our way back to the car. On our way back to the car, we looked up the hours of operation for Chili's (Ridgeland) and the hours said until 10pm on Sundays. I decided to call the restaurant and confirm this information. The young lady who answered the telephone informed me the restaurant was open until 10pm for dine in. She then informed me that walk ins were accepted until "9 somethin". I asked the young lady if I were to get there within 2 minutes, would my family be seated? She responded by saying "probably". I asked for a manager at this point and was placed on hold. As I was holding i began walking back into the restaurant and seen the young lady speaking with who I assumed was the manager. The manager (Brian) then greeted me and asked me to inform him of the situation which I did in a very accurate and respectful manner. He (Brian) then began to stumble over his words and told me that the employee was a newer hire and wasn't exactly sure what she was speaking on. I asked Brian if this was indeed the way business was ran at this establishment (the place was at about 35% capacity and it was 8:35pm) and he doubled down by saying that they are no longer accepting walk-ins regardless of it being nearly 90 minutes prior to closing. We informed Brian that this was a very disappointing experience and to have a nice evening. We proceeded to visit the local Buffalo Wild Wings who accommodated my family and I...
