Rarely do I write reviews for a restaurant, but I just wanna say Im very disappointed with the customer service aspect and food at this restaurant. I think this might have been an off day, but Iâve visited this location a few times and it seems like these issues have been consistent.
I visited this location a few days ago while I was out running errands. I wanted to stop in for lunch that day. The first thing I need to point out is how weird the start of the service was. It seemed like something was off in the restaurant, but I wasnât sure what. It just seemed like the server was uncomfortable. When we started the order, it felt like I was almost being rushed, and i was kinda tempted to just switch to togo or leave because everything just seemed cold. Luckily I just ordered 3 items so it wasnât for a bust. I believe it was the Kara-Age, the Spicy Miso Ramen, and just a coke. Ive ordered their tea before, but last time i got the tea it was literally filled with mainly ice and fruit. When I mentioned that to one of the ladies at the restaurant, they just simply said that is how the drink is served. I wasn't gonna pay almost 7 dollars for ice, and even then i spent 4.50 for a can of soda.
However after ordering the main dishes, I was just disappointed. The ramen was bland (sorry, it seriously lacked flavor and spice). The meat in the ramen was both suspiciously chewy, bland, and almost cold which makes me think they pre-cook the meat (again, from previous experiences i get that its always precooked but the meat shouldnât be cold). It also just lacked a lot. I know you can add toppings, but 16 dollars for a bowl of mostly broth is sad. The Kara-Age was also just bland. It tasted just like fry oil, and it definitely did not match its picture or description. The coke was fine, they served it with a nice glass, so thats nice.
(Also quick note, it was at this point I noticed how they cleaned the tables. They use ran down dirty rags with just water to clean the tables. Not gonna lie, that was very disgusting. You can see what was oil or chili stuff on the rag. No cleaning spray, and the plates were placed without a care in the world. My plate also had literal water marks on it.)
What made this worse honestly was the attitude of both the server and the other worker who I noticed across the room. The sever, although somewhat kind and helpful, quite literally couldn't help with these dishes. I couldnât get any exchanges on anything, and when I presented these problems it felt like they had excuses or they tried recommended other dishes that i wasn't gonna pay for. It was at this point I noticed this male employee who seriously looked mad. I didn't think it was directed at the guest, but once the server left, I noticed he was visibly upset. Either way, the service was bad, the food was underwhelming, and i truly question if they care about the well being of the customers.
This place looks nice, and I know they have good days, but after being treated THIS weird, I will no longer be getting food here. Not to mention how unapproachable and unwelcoming the restaurant was. I get the customer isn't always right, but when your methods are questionable you better be ready to help your customers. I hope they truly fix some of...

However, what the title of this establishment lacks in originality, they make up for with service and food quality.
Pro: The menu is not just generic, far east staples, and their appetizers, although cliche are made with near perfect levels of seasoning.
Good service, clean bathrooms.
Cuisine is complimeted by rarely seen at this scale of restaurant exotic non boba drinks although Yes! Boba is present, sake is also dping some heavy lifting with boosting thos score as well.
Portion size may not fit personal preferences, but this is both a pro and a con.
Cons:
After now visiting 5 times instead of my usual order, in-person visit, order, in-person system. I've found myself conflicted by the aesthetics of this location needing to warrant the multiple extra trips.
The in-house aesthetics/atmosphere has the over done lets put things of interest around the higher corner of the walls and ceiling. But also, their display montiors of which there seem to be about 5 are almost always muted and showing subtitles on their Japlan location.
However, the music is legitimately some slow jam stlye R&B, grey accents in the seating, brightly colored wood furniture.
Separately, none of these items are "problematic," so I say all that with the asterisk of you may not care.
What I can not and have never forgiven, is having visibly damaged eating utensils and accessories in circulation.
Although I only spitred one item having exposed ceramic the fact that its in rotation is one of the only issues.
Otherwise, the use of barley a full cup very wide glasses for water and the more basic drinks in place of more vertical cups is legitimately baffling. Yes, they came from Ikea, but the issue is how small the cups utilized for something as basic as water is, 2 small gulps and your done.
Portion size may not fit personal preferences, but this is both a pro and a con.
This restaurant staff has well trained servers, definitely peaceful even at busy times.
Good food and some actual effort put into the drinks menu.
You can't go wrong if you want quiet time or just something non traditional that won't break the bank.
If the biggest problem I can muster is the buildings aesthetics and maybe the lack of soy sauce being readily available on the table is an issue, then you should feel no issues with going here for your next meal.
Easily a...
Read moreI remember when this place first opened and it was amazing and now it has gone downhill. You will need to read the first page of the menu if youâre dining in and look all the way at the top to where it says âThey charge mandatory gratuity.â That is THE ONLY place you will see it. Then when you pay your bill and the tip they set for you. They ask AGAIN if you want to tip. They also have increased their prices, yet they took away the large soup spoons for the Ramen and replaced them with medium sized spoons. They now use that same medium sized spoon for their rice dish. So a very large mouth is required to enjoy a spoonful of rice. However I do agree with taking away the plastic chopsticks they had before since people would steal them, mainly because it is more sanitary. They did not fully wash them anywayđTheir service is ok but itâs truly not worth eatting inside. On top of the fact they have gnats flying around your table. I legit had to cover my food with napkins. Iâd have to say this place is good for take out only, unless you are trying to spend 40-80$ for 1-2 people and constantly cover your food...
