I do not recommend this establishment after experiencing a terrible service. Firstly, as soon as I parked my car, I witnessed a huge rat (thought it was a rabbit) around the perimeter of the restaurant. This is considered a health hazard! Afterwards, I was told the wait time would be 50 min which was insane. I ordered 3 chicken sandwiches (portion was way too small), and 2 chicken skewers and ended up paying $62.50. Then, I decided to head home, unload my groceries, pray Isha, and come back until my order is ready. As soon I got there, my food wasn't even ready for pickup. It was very disappointing having to wait additional 15 min (Total wait time is 1 hr 15min). I got home, and the food was super cold, portion sizes were way too small, no salad, no special sauce, no eating utensils or napkins, and gave minimum quantity of humus for the 2 skewers. It is not cost beneficial to spend $60 for a small size portion to feed...
Read moreI’m so sorry to leave a negative review but the disappointment today was unbelievable! Party of 9 and they do not have platters. Okay clearly stated we were 9 and they said they were just opening mind you it was 2 and they open at 1. He made his recommendation on what would be enough for my family. 50 minute wait and we had elders and children and the food came out. Small falafel which were too salty, literally a baby plate of hummus, 5 olives and slivered pickle maybe 2 at most, a baby Jerusalem salad, 2 pita breads cut in half, and the smallest plate of mixed meat I’ve ever seen. My nephew could have polished it alone. This is not the Arab generosity I am accustomed to especially in the south. Mind you we drove almost an hour to get here. Sadly the mashawi were not good either. Sorry guys you really need to step it up. Not a way to maintain business. Unfortunately this was a no for me and I will never...
Read moreI walked in, party of 2, and we were deciding what to get. That’s when the nice man up front, Tariq, I believe, told me “I will fix you two up with a mixed grill platter with all the salads and sides”. I was like “yallah let’s get it boss man”
And oh did he deliver. I cannot get over how amazing the meal was. The meats were spiced to perfection. The hummus and babaghanoush were delicious. The salatat turkiya? To die for.
Man this was probably the best meal I’ve had in years. Then I showed my brother in law the pics, and he went and got more for us all. I’ve been eating mashawee guys for 3 days now and I can’t wait to go for more.
Thank you, mashawee guys, and thank you Tariq.
Only recommendation from me - can you guys add mtawama (garlic) to the salad selection? Mmmm it would hit with the chicken. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
And he recommended breakfast there. Gotta check...
