Nick's Barbecue — Restaurant in Worth Township

The absolute worst place for bbq, first time going to check this place out for its "BBQ" and the food was terrible if I could give this place a negative -5☆ I would. I'm a foodie by nature and have had chucks bbq in that area which was not bad but this place puts insult to injury calling itself bbq, I can not describe in words as the worst the rib tips EVER! the meat is boiled and thrown on the grill followed by being covered in bbq sauce...dried beef jerky taste better! and the so called brisket was sandwich steak I first thought, to call this meat brisket and to classify this joint as a bbq shack is an insult to bbq everywhere the sides had no taste and were from a box, this is really a standard hot dog stand trying to lure people in with the thought of getting some kind of edible bbq when in reality the meat is worst that you will ever have if you eat here no bs this owner is a scumbag for serving this to people If I get sick I definitely will be calling the health department!!!! drive thru service uncaringly slow. Keep in mind I’m the only one in line, ordering 1 food item, they will still ask to pull up and wait 15 min. I’d understand if there was a line or parking lot had cars. Food items seem to be hit or miss. I DID like the ribs. I don’t agree with price given the extremely small styrofoam cups as “sides”. I couldn’t believe the mashed potatoes & beans were 2 bites worth… but tasted good. The curly fries they gave me looked bottom of barrel cold & pitiful..didn’t care enough to turn around. The corn on cob/mac&cheese I ordered as extras were unbelievably terrible I can’t believe they serviced me it. Disappointed because that’s very hard to mess up so that tells me cook doesn’t care. The cod sandwich special on Friday’s forget it. McDonald’s fish filet taste far better and less $. Buffalo chicken wrap = great. Coleslaw = excellent. Place is a flip of the coin. I’m willing to go a couple more times only because the ribs were acceptable. If another unpleasant experience I’d say place isn’t worth it for me, the alsip location could be so popular if those things were fixed. Kinda feels like getting robbed eating there so far. Order a hot dog & fries with a coleslaw. I asked the cashier if I could get bbq sauce with my fries, and he said on the side, and I said sure. Received my food, receipt, and bbq. Got home and no fries. My daughter called back, and they acted like they had no knowledge of my order. My daughter gave my receipt number, but they still act like they didn't remember. BTW they were not busy. Then they hung up on her. So I had her take me up there. When I walked in, the same guy said was their a problem with your order?"" I said, "Who hung up on my daughter?" He proceeded to tell me how busy they were. And fries do not come with hot dog. I said you didn't say that when I placed my order AND you didn't say it when I asked for BBQ sauce on my fries AND you gave me the BBQ sauce. He said I am extremely sorry."
