It was awful. At first glance, the room appeared to be clean, but it wasn't. The drapes had missing hooks, so they hung haphazardly and dirty. The lamp shapes were worn, dirty and tattered. The furniture was beat up, nicked and shabby. The lounge chair was filthy with dark, almost black wide ground in dirt stains on the seat area and on each arm. The desk chair was broken at the top spindles and it too was dirty. I realized that I did not have a phone and called the front desk and was told due to the painting being done that the phone was removed. Who does that?? I have never encountered a hotel stay without a phone in the room, never. The first night between 12 to 15 people, primarily men were hanging out talking loud, laughing and drinking. I contacted the front desk and was told that they would check into it. An hour later, they were still hanging out. I called back and was told the Alsip police department was called and had asked them to tone it down. Turn it down? Why were they allowed to loiter and hang out as if they were on a street corner? Why weren't they told it was not allowed? I was there for two days and the following day, housekeeping never came to clean my room. Another thing that I've never experienced in my travels. I left out for a while and when I returned, saw that my room had not been clean. I contacted the front desk at 4:00 and asked when could I expect housekeeping. I was told that they were still there and he would let them know. At 7:00, I called again and was told that they had left for the day and I'm thinking what in the world is wrong with this motel. This is crazy. It was one catastrophe after another from start to finish. I asked to speak with the manager. I was told as I was the prior day that she was off. I then asked to speak to the assistant manager and was told that there is no AM. So no leadership on staff when the manager is off? The condition of the motel combined with the continuous issues says much about those in charge. I had never experienced anything like it in my years of travel and hope to never again. Oh, the fitness center of course was closed and it was obvious that it had been for a very long time. Also the lobby, felt empty and neglected. Like a storage room that no would normally see or ever use. Some of the amenities mentioned online did not exist there. ...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I decided to stay at this hotel while we went to the train concert in tinley park. The pictures do not match the hotel. It was the worst experience I have ever had. We arrived at the hotel thinking it was the days inn we had booked back in February. Even received a confirmation days before about our up coming stay at the days inn. When we arrived we noticed they had no signs and the employees were wearing motel 6 shirts. After 30 minutes of trying to check in the hotel finally found our reservation. We were sent to our room to discover it was just a run down room. Our sheets were stained clean but stained. Bath tub was discussing and there were stains all over the carpet that looked like blood. I immediately wanted to leave but did not have time to find a new room before our concert. Once we came back to our room there were tons of people outside our hotel room, they apparently rent to people at weekly and monthly rates. We we're kept up all night long from the partying and loud noises all night long. After check out I contacted days inn to be informed it no longer belonged to them even though our card was charged for a days inn we're were told sorry nothing we can do. I contacted motel 6 to receive no response. I do not recommend this hotel!!! It was a horrible experience that put quiet the get away...
Read moreThere was an employee who was helpful. He's a young man his name is Ray. The other staff were decent when they were there but there were days when I called the office from my room and when I was away from the hotel trying to get specific information the phone would ring and ring and no one will ever answer. Overall the main thing that irks me is the filthy carpet with all different kind of stains on it. So disgusting I went and bought flip flops AND shower shoes so my feet would never ever touch that disgusting carpet! It was so filthy I don't even want to walk on it. I tried to stay away from my room and keep busy in the city as much as possible because I get depressed immediately upon entering my room. I stayed the whole week and never once took off my clothes to get under the cover and have a good night sleep. Every night I kept my clothes on because I just could not trust those sheets. I would deliberately come into my room completely tired and beat so I'd be able go immediately to sleep. I promise I'm not one to complain or gripe because I never mentioned it once to them (also how likely are they to take my advice when they already know how filthy everything is?). I'm also not one to complain and seem as if I'm trying to get a refund or a discount. But since you asked and it's still...
