I had an extremely disappointing experience at this location today, and unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve been mistreated by an associate here. This ongoing pattern of poor service has finally pushed me to write a review.
Upon entering the store, I proceeded to checkout as usual for my Shipt order. Self-checkout was empty, and there were two cashiers working—one African American woman and one Filipina woman. I approached the Filipina cashier, greeted her, and informed her that I had a Shipt order. Rather than acknowledging me properly, she simply pointed toward a sign without saying anything. Not only was this dismissive, but it was also unprofessional. A cashier should politely greet a customer and offer assistance, not rely on the customer to initiate the interaction.
I then asked if someone would be available to assist me, to which she nodded and waved her hand in a dismissive manner, as if shooing me away. I proceeded to the designated bagging area and waited for five minutes. Meanwhile, when I initially asked her for help, her register had no customers, yet she continued assisting others instead of acknowledging me.
Eventually, the African American cashier asked what I needed, and I explained that I was there for a Shipt order. She responded that she would assist me shortly, which was frustrating because the other cashier, Guadalupe, could have helped me from the start. To make matters worse, I later observed Guadalupe assisting an African American man who was also doing a Shipt order—after telling me she couldn’t assist with it.
At this point, I approached her directly and asked why she had refused to assist me but was willing to help someone else. She responded that it wasn’t her responsibility and that she could only assist if others were busy—yet they clearly were. Her response was contradictory and dismissive, making the entire experience feel both unfair and unprofessional.
This interaction was distasteful, rude, and displayed a clear lack of customer service etiquette. If certain employees are selective about whom they choose to assist, that’s a serious issue that management needs to address. I hope this location takes the necessary steps to improve its customer service standards and ensure that all customers are treated with respect. I would give zero stars yet that...
Read more👋🏻 Hey fellow Google Mappers! ☺️ I’ve been to this Target very few times. I usually don’t go to this Target due to it being a little far compared to my go-to which is the Oak Lawn location. I wasn’t really looking for anything specific, but I had some returns to do and wanted to check out the clearance section. There’s only 1 entrance at this Target location and lots of parking. I’m assuming because it’s not as big as other Target locations where there are 2 entrances.
🚽 Bathroom: The bathroom is located on the far right side of the store near the entrance. The bathroom was very clean! Always love a clean public bathroom!
⭐️ Customer Service: The customer service experience was okay. I wanted to do my returns first since the exchanges & returns area is closest to the entrance, but there was no one in that area when I came. I waited about 10 minutes and still no one came, so I ended up doing some shopping and then doing returns last. When I was checking out, a cashier was talking to a customer for a good 5-10 minutes. I already laid all my stuff I was going to buy on the checkout counter and the customer already paid for her stuff. I low key could’ve gone to another cashier and would’ve checked out faster.
🛒 Merchandise: This Target location had some decent stuff. The clearance section was so huge. There were clearance sections in different parts of the store, but I had a blast in the clearance area in the women’s section. Definitely bigger than other Targets I’ve been to and I was able to find really good deals like $3 shirts and $9 black slacks for work, so I’m happy with my purchases. ☺️
🛍️ Overall Experience: Overall, I had a good shopping experience at Target at the Crestwood location. The only feedback I have is ensuring that there’s at least 1 person in the exchanges & returns area always just in case customers come by. Maybe adding a bell or something that can signal staff that there are customers in the exchanges & returns area would help!? Just my thoughts here! Overall, the store was easy to navigate & I’m happy with my purchases.
💌 I hope this review helps Target in the Crestwood location, Target in general, & its current and future customers.

Read more6-2-13 / Target is usually a very nice place for me to shop. However, today it was just like the other ghetto stores I go to. There was a woman who was not African American who intentionally placed her cart horizontally to block the pathway of the other self checkout registers. Then she turned to me and said what they all say. You already know but I'll tell you anyway. She said, "sorry". Of course, I agreed. She must be a sorry person to be so petty. She just stood there looking like a crazy person after moving her cart. This is typical behavior of people in stores that I go to. I even made a recording of exactly what was going to happen before I even entered the store. These people all do & say the same thing. Who do they THINK they are? Why do they think they can't be stopped? (You do know since I don't know any of you, I don't have to speak to you at all and if you are blocking my path in a store, I can just clear that pathway) / 4:27 AM There was a store employee standing near the registers, who also was not black. He approached me to see if I was recording & to tell me it is not allowed. However, he stood there the whole time the lady had the isle blocked and did nothing when he should have been making sure customers are free to walk to registers to pay for their items. Then walked over to talk to the lady after speaking to me. Anyone can see he was not doing his job and he targeted me. These dirty store employees & customers wouldn't have to worry about being recorded if they stop harassing me. Nobody asked them to speak a word to me. As a matter of fact, I prefer they didn't. It does nothing for me. They can give me a million "sorries" and it changes life in no way. They could be saying "sorry" your not dead. How do I know when a bunch of Random people just keep walking up to me saying "Sorry". It's called HARASSMENT & I will record it, report it & do whatever else I feel like doing about it. Kind of like, the people who feel it's okay to keep approaching me, I feel it's okay to record, tell others, etc. When you're wrong & you don't stop, don't expect others to accept it or follow rules to hide the evil you do....
