Today was the day. I hadn’t had Taco Bell in quite some time. I drive past this Taco Bell Alsip IL location 2x’s weekly and sticking to my diet…. I don’t stop. The chicken chalupa is just too mesmerizing …. The delicious chicken and cheese..crispy lettuce and the soft bread …just makes my taste buds go crazy. As I approached the drive thru I could hardly contain my excitement of this impending satisfaction. The drive thru experience itself was rather pleasant. The customer service in the Taco Bell drive thru was phenomenal!! The young lady at the window was super friendly and jovial. The drive thru attendant handed me my food and told me to have a nice day as she made eye contact(rare customer service skill these days) and I could through her mask my her eyes she was smiling. As I drive down the street I checked my order(which for some reason the bag had a sticker on sealing it shut) I took a sip and my diet soda was delicious(despite the fact that I had ordered a diet w/no ice it had ice in it)…I was satisfied. After wresting with the sticker I was able to open the bag…. I grabbed a chicken chalupa out of the bag and wrapped on one side and prepared to take a bite out of the other side. I was not prepared for what happened next…. I took a bite….the bread was so hard for a moment I thought …maybe they accidentally dropped pieces of a card board container into my chalupa. This was disturbing….. I had a second chalupa and that bread was just as hard. Although this experience was very disappointing….in these strange turn of events it has ultimately has helped me stick to my diet. Dear Taco Bell I will will not be returning to this location because of this unpleasant experience. In short … I would like say thank you for helping me stick to my goals but you must do better...
Read moreBecause 0 stars isn't an option, I'll have to settle with the overly-generous 1 star rating. This has to be the SLOWEST Taco Bell on the planet. The employees are always looking stoned out of their minds and they have absolutely no work ethic. They walk very casually to the window or the counter to hand you your food, which by the way, costs more than they advertise in the drive thru.
If I owned this Taco Bell, I'd fire every single person who works there as of now. The manager, cashier, cook boys, you name it, they'd all be canned immediately because they're all awful and have no place serving customers.
All I'm saying is, if your job is to serve customers, then act like you give a damn and put a little effort into your work. Speak loud and clear, not mumbling like these morons do, speed it up with your service in general and stop slacking. This is a job in the real world, people, not nappy time and this isn't some casual event. Even though $8.25 or whatever minimum wage is isn't much at all, it's definitely more than you're worth...
