Finally went to Wojo’s after hearing about it for ages. I was mostly curious about their shakes and I told myself I’d just grab one… but yeah, ended up ordering food too. I tried the Oreo shake and it was exactly what I wanted, thick, creamy, and had real Oreo chunks in it. Not the fake syrup taste you sometimes get. This was Super good. I also got a burger and honestly that’s what stood out the most. You can see the flames on the grill while they’re cooking, which is pretty cool. The burger came out hot and juicy with a nice char, seasoned just right. The bun actually held up the whole time without turning soggy, which I appreciated. Fries were crispy, golden, and they came out hot. The vibe here is pretty cool, kind of old-school diner style. Staff was friendly and even though it was a weekend afternoon, I didn’t wait long at all. I'll be coming to Wojo’s again, hopefully soon. This spot hits the mark.

A South Side institution for sure. You can't miss with the burgers, fries or hot dogs here. They do offer a number of other meat options like ostrich, elk, venison and more if you are feeling adventurous. They also have over 100 different types of shakes. They cook your food to order, but are fast and efficient about it. I had the ostrich burger as a change of pace and I really enjoyed it. It tastes very close to their standard burger. If you are iffy on whether or not to try it, ask for it to be cooked well done. My only complaint is that the bacon I added was too chewy whereas I prefer it to be crispy. My bad on that for not specifying. Lady behind the register was wearing a beanie that says "I Don't Care" which is probably not the optics you want when dealing with customers. FYI: There's no public restroom here, so, if you're bringing kids, plan accordingly

I wanted to give them a try since they are so close to my job figured I order something simple as I wasn't sure how they were.i ordered a #1 hot dog special with chili chz fries I've never been so disappointed waited nearly 15 min so I just assumed they were Making my fries fresh nope everything about my food was cold even the chili my buns were hard and stale. My chili and cheese came in tiny containers that ultimately got charged an additional 4 dollars for. I called to inform them and when I told them I was not happy and wouldn't be returning they gentleman who prepared my food hung up on me. I guess I should've known when the team ordered McDonald's if they aren't willing to eat their food neither should i... oh and it wasn't chicago style it had cucumbers on it

This is an old neighborhood fave that has fallen from grace.

Originally the home of unique and tasty game burgers (turkey, ostrich, buffalo, venison, and so on), with really good execution -- even on beef burgers. Add-ons were great seasoned fries and milkshakes in a thousand flavor combinations. What a dream!

I always excused the horrible interior and neighborhood-tradition-turned-smugness service. It was OK that the staff acted like they didn't need to be there, and it was OK that the tables were tacky (literally) relics of an era which was comfortable manufacturing plastic to look like barely-passable wood.

But now, the game burgers are not tasty, just unique. What you order has only a 50/50 chance of ending up correctly assembled in your plastic basket (which will be unwashed, still greasy from whatever previous customer's disappointing order). The spicy fries (which were on par with Mr Sub's garlic fries) are now rationed to shamefully small portions. A portion of fries which I figured would be enough to share between me and my two kids was barely enough to give them two stingy servings.

The shakes are still downright amazing.

I know, I know, pandemic, supply chain, yadda yadda. Even granting leeway/leniency for all of that... Wojo's is a pale, sickly shadow of its former self.

I won't ever give up on you, but I won't...

I went here last Monday and I tried to let this go but I can't. The service was disgusting. I was helped by a girl. I wish I had her name but I don't. She was young has glasses and curly brown or dirty blonde hair. She was completely rude to my boyfriend and I. There was no need for her horrible attitude. I work in the food industry. I know what it's like to deal with rude customers so that's why i always try to be nice and understanding to everyone in the customer service industry. But I couldn't for her. She was too dam rude and miserable! She yelled at my boyfriend "what do you want on your burger?!!!" and gave me a look when I asked if I can change my order to go which was her fault because I couldn't stand being by her negative energy I wanted to go home. I understand ppl have bad days but everything she did was completely uncalled for. She should consider quitting her job. She's not cut out for that industry. She makes me never want to step foot in that restaurant again because I don't know if I have the patience to deal with her again. Maybe if we were older and not people of color she would have been nicer...

This was my first time visit ever to this place...I have a friend who went there when he was younger...and another friend as well who said this place was spectacuar in the day... Personally...I think this is one if the places that had ill effects from r covid pandemic... We went there for the highly raved gyros sandwhiches...but there r no more big jewels if gyros meat sizzling away like in the old days...the gyros meat was taken out of a refrigerated case and was in like butcher paper...where they grilled it...but the problem is it did not even taste like gyros meat...for it picked up flavors of different nears that had also been grilled...such a bummer...I mean the fries were excellent...and then the elephant in the room...about this gyros sandwhich that did not taste like one at all...se la vie...thanku covid... Anyways the two people working there were very friendly and efficient...and there were fabulous selections on the menu...which were all ...most likely very yummy...we just picked an item...that drastically changed.... I would still give this place a try...but definitely...do not order the...
